Of course until 5th comes out I will just use pdf rules to make my army choices. (Not going to list standard gear just wargear and such.)

HQ:
Farseer - 135 (Runes of Warding, Spirit Stones, Doom, Guide)
Maugan Ra - 195

Elite:
Howling Banshees (9+Exarch) - 192 (Mirrorswords, Acrobatics, War Shout)

Troops:
Guardians (11+Warlock) - 148 (Conceal, Missle Launcher)
Guardians (11+Warlock) - 148 (Conceal, Missle Launcher)
Dire Avengers (7+Exarch) - 128 (Exarch Shuriken Catapult, Bladestorm)
Rangers (6) - 144 (Pathfinder)

Fast Attack:
Warp Spiders (7+Exarch) - 228 (Powerblades, Spinneret Rifle, Suprise Assault, Withdraw)

Heavy:
Dark Reapers (4+Exarch) - 237 (Tempest Launcher, Crack Shot, Fast Shot)
War Walker Squadron (3) - 195 ( Scatter Laser x2, Spirit Stones)

Total Points: 1750
Model Count: 66

Going to list another tomorrow, I think it is a more powerful list, but will let you guys decide.

I also personally don't think Eldrad should be rocking up for as many conflicts as he is. For a guy trapped in a blackstone fortress he's still making it to a lot of gaming tables Smile - Xodiac (40k Online)

With all those Guardians I'd prefer the Avatar to keep them company with that 12" Fearless bubble. Even though I already know your answer, Eldrad over your Farseer setup is just too good to pass up. Swap out both HQs for only a 5pt difference.

Find room for at least one Wave Serpent. It will be able to taxi any unit such as those soft Banshees. Put some AT on it because right now all you have are two BS3 Missile Launchers.

Even after these changes I feel you may be pressed to take on fast elite armies or 120+ model count hordes. Lets see that other list Smile

Well the battle plan is:
Thin out as many troops as possible at the start. Ignore most vehicles using Warp Spiders to destroy any dangerous ones (Str8 + 14x Rear Armor shots). Not sure but I was thinking I have tons of fire power for horde type armies.

Maugan - 5x Str 6/rending shots w/fast shot; 4x Str 6/rending no cover, re-roll wound w/crack shot
Dark Reapers - 8x Str 5/AP3 shots + 3x Str 4/AP3 template shots w/ fast shot; 8x Str 5/AP3 shots + 2x Str 4/AP3 no cover, re-roll wound w/ crack shot
Warp Spiders - 14x Str 6 + 1x Str 8
War Walkers - 24x Str 6
Avengers - 18x Str 4; 36x Str 4 w/bladestorm
Rangers - x6

Total Shots: 78 high strength shots at a min of 18" (not spiders, but they can move well) + Guide and Doom for any re-rolls needed.

Keep the Farseer and Maugan in the middle flanked by guardians. Banshees close to pick up any h-t-h. Maugan can also rape some people in h-t-h which help to slow down any major problems. Going for the shooty counter charge army.

Just a idea I had for a game plan...going to post other list now.

where do you get s8 on the spiders?

the exarch can only get a spinneret rifle, which is s6 ap1.. or s6 assault 4

drop a guardian in each squad to add that extra man to the avenger squad.. they should be full if possible.
