Renegade Space Marines

Does anything think there is such a thing as a civil rebel space marine? I mean seriously just because they arnt with the Imerpials does that mean they turn into nasty evil vile creatures that the Chaos are? And last if there is any books with ppl like this what are they?

Yes, there are plenty.

The Soul Drinkers series is decent-ish. Despite being mutants they are still civil.

Angel of Darkness is probably the best, it is the story of one of the fallen, named Astelan.

Who is Angel of Darkness by? I've never heard of it before, but it sounds interesting.
