Tyranids New Player

I will be helping someone start their own tyranid army and would like some advice. As I havent played them in forever and I will be giving her what I have which isnt much. Also she is my Girlfriends little sister. Shes only 10 but will be able to grasp the game very well.

I think your right. There is somethign seriously wrong when the ones lacking all the testosterone(Probably mangled that) are the ones grabbing up the muscle bound blood crazed killing machines.... Smile

She actually likes bugs, and tyranids by nature are not evil, they are creatures who function off of basic instincts. They look at the propagation of a species.

Since 'nids can pull off the "Go-Get-Em" tactic it shouldn't be too hard for her to play them. The trick will be learning in what order the enemy the critters need to munch.

For WFB one of the gals was looking at Empire.

Big Bugs, more big bugs... and wait... more big bugs.

Makes it easier to build/collect and it really is the optimum build (and will probably stay so in 5th) The only thing that will change for 5th is that instead of genestealers you'll see large broods for objective grabbing.

Plus big bugs are just cool.

I say start her with a stealer shock because its all similiar or the same models. Its a rather low model count so you dont forget things. And also looking forward to 5th its probably going to be a solid list, if not one of the top 5.

Will do. Like I said its for a little girl at 10 years old but I will try to pass on what knowledge I have, and use what you guys have told me to help her.

BTW, Dont get me wrong, i think its frakin awesome that she's getting in on the game!
