My First List (be gentle:))

So, first list. There me even be some rule-breaking in their... only read through the rulebook once so far. This is just a list of what I plan to buy at first. Any advice would be welcome.

Army: Red Blok
Platoon: FrontLine

Twins+Urod - 790

3 RPG Kolossus + Srg - 435

Spetsnaz Kolossus + Srg - 385

Tymo (the special character, you get the picture) + Kakovalny - 270 (is this wrong in my book, as it seems very cheap?)

Dragonov Kommandos w/ 3 snipers, Srg, medic + electronic warfare specialist - 335

Dragonov Kommandos w/ 1 snipers + 2 ATGAUS, Srg, medic +electronic warfare specialist - 310

Krasnye Soldaty w/ 2 grenade launchers + 1 rocket launcher, srg, 1 medic + 1 mechanic (perhaps use a spare kommando medic model to have 2 medics) - 310

You guys think that looks like a good start playing a frontline list?

Lets take a look:

UROD: 570 A.P.

Sgt.A. Tymofiyeva: 230 A.P.,She only Drives the Kozni,the rest of the "Unit" is Nakovalny,if using more than one in "Unit"

Dragonov K.:w/sniper gun,max unit,275+10 Sgt.=285 A.P.

2nd Dragonov K.,Units may only have one or the other on special weapons.pg.80.Special weapon bearer

Krasnye Soldaty:Once again,refer to page 80.Special weapons bearer

In fun games using another characters from other "Units"is fine by me.If you ever wish to endoure any Orgaized play,this wouldnt be exceptible.

Tip:Krasnye soldaty ATT.Boxes,comes with a mechanic,which is very important while running any A.F.V. without mechanic Characters.Furthermore,using a mechanic for the replacment of a medic would be your best choice,while it gives the platoon construction more versitility.

Side Note:Im looking for a Mechanic figure ,I will pay $10.00,for this fig.Thats a half unit for somone if they could spare the mechanic.

Furthermore,Krasnye S.and the RPG Soldaty are very simular,and you will find playing theses units are easy to do,with a great deal of fire power from the Marushka Roket Launchers.

Nakovalnys Units from what I have fond are only good for one thing,Killin Infantry.And running over Infantry.They need to be in 2 to 3 man units and need mechanics.Without mechanics from the Krasnye Soldaty running within 2,5 of this unit.They will die.

Further more,Nakovalnys have a hard time holding a Zone,weather it is V.Z. or Secondary Zone.The UNA Jam Tacs eat Red Blok AFV for lunch all day long,and when they get tagged they are tagged for the whole round,by any Locket shot weapons the UNA,and soon Red Blok,Have.Beware affraid

I havent had any experience running Frontline.Its a very expensive,but extremly effective list when built correctly.To obtain all six special weapons for the Komandos,cost roughly $150.00,cash. pale

The ARC platoon is another expensive list to build,as I have built one,about $500.00 later.They say they will fix the packaging problem and put different Special weapons with the ATT. Boxes,but I doubt they will,Why would you cut your own throat if people were still buying the stuff,and only bitchin about it.

Yeah the packaging is outrageous. I will have more spare medics and other crap to know what to do with. I was really annoyed when i went for that (even more so now that i will need to buy another one to go to 3 snipers/3AT GAUSS).

I may drop the kommandos for now (only run them with the disruption character for max disrupt) and go with more cheap mechanics and as many AFV's and kolssi as i can fit.

Thanks for the advice. The above stuff comes to around 250 on warstore. Not that bad really.

Rackham need to fix this packge problem bably.They dont put the right stuff in the ATT. Boxes.We need to get special weapon boxes really.They are making a weapons kit box,for the fire toad,So maybe the others will come soon enough.But I doubt it.People do by it the way it is.
The Star Troopers are the same way.and a few others.

I would atleast run min.Unints,with sniper gun,as a recon style,kill fast and get out of dodge.Not a hang around and try to fight off the whole battle.

Min units w/mechanics works well running with the AFV, that have no Repair.

Yeah, I was thinking min units with as many mechs as possible. Cheap and efficient. Then use my uber hard to kill mechs to win the day. With Urod at the fore.

Yeah those kids are nasty. Back 'em up with a few mechanics on foot, and they are super tough to kill.
