Well technically they are moving back to 3rd + prior editions of 40k. Wink

But back on topic, I really really wanted to get into confrontation and AT-43 (which i still kind of plan on doing) but the company made it so impossible for me as a newcomer. Even with the insanely dedicated fan base that used to revolve around their games (not as evident any more as far as i can tell).

... oh and Austin is pretty much the only cool city in TX. Just my 2 cents.

Agreed...100%. Houston sucks...as does Dallas and Waco...

At least Waco had some greenery.

Anyway, AT-43 is played in ACME, at least it was the last time we talked about it. I played it once, and was so-so on the rules. I have access to a bunch of armies....all of them in fact, so someday I might actually play. We'll see.

Matt I have a ton of AT-43 stuff if you want to try a game or two when you get back. That is if I don't sell it all.

I like AT-43, just could never drum up enough interest in my group. Wayno got bored with it quick and Dickie would rather play 40k. The rest of the guys did not seem interested.

yeah, we'll have to get a few games in.

I have the rules (probably about useless now with all the magazine and forum updates) and the red blok book.

I played Confrontation for a bit, but they got out of hand so I backed off that.
The only city cooler than Austin in Texas is San Antonio. The one thing I can say about Dallas and Houston is whatever you want, you can find it there. It even snowed once in Dallas enough for a snowball fight Smile. I can admit though that some of you people weren't born yet the last time I lived in Dallas which was 21 years ago.

Not really, rules are pretty simple to begin with. There is only a little FAQ that you can download.

Ill have to say, Living here is a huge change in weather for sure. You better know how to dress, and have a A-1 top notch AC unit in Truck and house.

I came here for the big Work Boom. They have super highway structures here. Everything is brandnew where Im at. Its busy for sure, but its really freakin hot man. I have a golden tan though. Ha.

About the GW stores here, They are the real deal. The stores are called Games Workshop. You can find the address on the GW Site.

They also have demo 2000 point armys for rent and trial. Pro painted. Ther is a game of Fantasy once a day, and the same with 40 K.

GW has run the regular game stores sellin GW, out of town. Thats good for me though, They all switched over to AT-43 and Confrontation. cheers

Now Im going to go watch for hurricane Dolly?

Later

I cant believe, Ive been able to stay away from 40 K. Its a real popular game, everywhere you look, no matter the scene.

I guess Ive focused on pre-paints, because I get to play a whole lot fasterl, and I know the rules backward and forward.
