Wow, I can't believe the amount of Non interest with Confrontaion 4.0 in this area.

I think this game is amazing. The ppp are also amazing, and provide tons of playing time.

For you Griffin players, if any, they are about ready to complete a full banner in ppp. The Cannon is right around the corner. The Lions are here as well, looking great as normal.

Check it out!

I've been playing since the old booklets were still the "official" rules. I havent had a chance yet to play with the current rules set though. Its another on my to-do list. Do they still have the complete rules and army lists online?

They have been moving pretty fast with replacing the older minis with painted plastics. A lot of them are really not that bad either. Table top quality for sure.

You can still get the lists.

I miss the old C3 rules and we actually ran a tournament for it at Gen Con.

CAoR is too all over the place for me. THe company went PPP and touted that it was game play, not great figures, that made Rackham an outstanding company.

Problem is their rules are haphazard and don't as if they've been well tested or thought out. Mechanically it's fine but each army book seems to have issues.

For instance, the Dirz book released in June was Errated by July b/c no one could play the army with the basic Army construction that was provided.

The company just continues to make too many "gafs" for me to support anylonger so I don't put my dollars there.

I liked AT43 and CAoR was "ok" mechanically but I'd rather change direction.

I'm also not sure on the longevity of the company so I won't be putting dollars into it or asking my friends to buy in either.

Releases still struggle to be on time. FFG pushed releases back 60 days in Novemeber of 2007 to make sure the release dates wouldn't be missed. Now 6 months later they are already behind 30 days. (90 day swing).

20 months ago you would have had issue finding a bigger supporter of Rackham. Now....I really just can't bring myself to even play a game or paint a figures.

Pure insanity! Those miniatures were beyond awesome.

They killed it when they went pre-painted imo.

I still like the figures to use for fantasy games DND or whatever comes up. But if there still having problems I may stock some specific items just for use in dnd. which is a problem with the new prepainted stuff.
I also was a huge huge pusher of confrontation and we Loved the game. But there were, like you said, way to many issues with getting items released on time.

No distributors carry metal anymore. FFG dumped. No forge running at Rackham anymore. You can order from them direct to carry individual pieces.

1 source bought up most of the metals Chimera games in WI. They were at Gen Con with a bunch of stuff 50% off. Limited stuff, not so much.
