Just curious, why does it matter if it is an old post if people have new info to share?

On unit lists a old post is normaly no longer evelant to the poster as it had been a long time, same for for ost gernal discousions I belive now for rules yea I could see that one. It is more of a everyone lets the topic die and then someone brings it back to its own new life

Well, what about new people just joining the forums? They see a post and want to reply to it, but it was locked before they got here. Seems a bit redundant for them to have to start a new post about a thread that was already started. Sorry, this is the first forum I have ever been a part of that locks threads because they are old. If it isn't important anymore, delete it, less confusion that way.

It's not that Matt locks threads because they're old, he locks them when they are resurrected and some people lead it off topic (most notably Me, Bruce, and CJ did at one point).

Yea I do have a habit of leading things off topic and causing them to be locked(my own orginal blood angel list comes to mind which got locked)

Haha, that one went waaaay off topic.

If Ryan wants more input on his Brettonian warband I'm sure he will post another one.

Most of the reasons here are correct. Another is that it bumps the thread all the way to the top, getting in the way of other threads that are more relevant.

If you have something Ryan (Rhino) could really use I suggest PMing him suggestions.
