So is that model worth it for the points? It is an awesome mount that is not a large target, with a guy that can kick ass on top. Check out the setup that looks sexy with him:

This guy gets 8 str 5 attacks, 9 when he causes a wound. The carnosaur does 4 str 7 attacks, 5 when he causes a wound and D3 for each wound on large targets! it is crazy!

Or in the long run is a Slann-mage priest a ton better?

Why the Carnosaur Pendant?

I would simply go Blade of Realities and Enchanted Shield..

for the +1 attack for being frenzied, for a total of 9 str 5 attacks

..but you'll get that from the mount

What happens when he get's a cannonball to the face and dies early, or Skulltaker rapes him with Killing Blow O Doomtm or he meets Grail Knights?

The real problem with the carnosaur is that it doesn't move as fast as other monstrous mounts.

Basically, my question is what are you going to do when this dude dies. At 500 points, it seems a lot like "Eggs/Basket" to me!

Yep its just shy of 500, but its in a 2250 list (doesnt make that much of a diff).

Never fought against the cannon (as havent fought dwarves or empire) so would not know. Not worried about grail knight charging as a challenge would nullify their advantange (possible 2 wounds) and if they dont accept they lose blessing. Only a lucky cannonball hit would be able to kill it anyways.

I guess the pendant is overkill then.

Its not putting eggs in one basket sooo much, as i am thinking of having a EotG on the other side, to draw away fire and if not, force the enemy to pick one to kill at best.

On paper it sounds good anyways, never gonna know till i try heh (its still very much in planning stages so no worries)

wow its like a nidzilla list in 40k...


definetely not my style heh, although the EoTG sound good to have for magic defense/offense....but i heard having more than 1 is cheesy...

I would take on the list with Dark Elves. My ogres, even the ironskin list would have trouble with 2 EoTG and it would be scarey for my Brets, but an interesting fight. My High Elves, from what I remember about them wouldn't be bothered by it.
