So the little ones finally coordinated their naps today. CoD4 time!

Meant to play Sabotage, but HQ flashed up loading on Shipment before I knew what was happening. Then I fumbled my weapon selection as I usually go for the shotgun, but picked my RPD setup.

Plopped down way over the other end away from the HQ so I went to snipe mode on the fools running for the target. Quickest 5 kills ever. Plop down an airstrike. Chopper incoming. Snipe continues along with Heli kills until I remember ...

Anyway I have been tossing around alternate guard ideas since my balloon muscled catachans make me want to cry when ever I go to paint one (I did get over 1500 points of them for around a hundred bucks... so I really shouldnt complain). Thoughts on Fantasy based on 40k 5th Ed

So, with 5th Ed on the horizon (I believe a few of us have been able to at least flick through the final hardcopy version now) does anyone see the changes made in 40k influencing Fantasy's next release?

Things like:

Troops only scoring

Terrain effects

Take cover (not sure it fits, but who knows)

Kill points - and the missions in general

and so on and so on.

Other than a morning bank mutal fun review (not gonna buy more shares, no way) the day is cleared.

The GT is comming up fast so now is the time to get things ready. For myself that means detail painting and a whole lotta upgrades on my flocking.

So aiming for at least 1pm. Will be working on WFB, if anyone wants to use some of my gallon of woodglue and sand they are more than welcome.

40K and WFB gaming are open too.

Too detailed to go into, but it looks like there won't be a "Klingon/charity Jail" this year at GenCon.

I may STILL try to go for a day or two - but unfortunately I'll look mostly human, no forehead ridges or leather armor, etc...

I finished reading DArk Apostle a couple of days ago (in one day actually) and loved it!

I mean it had so many sweet and interesting characters. I don't ususally like epic battle ones, which is probabl the reason I am not a fan of the Horus Heresy books, but this one is one of my favorites now.

I mean they showed a lot of view points in the war, from a chaos slave to commander of the Chaos army. And common they freakin Night Bringer was in it.

Here is the start of my Space Marine Journal.

It started with the hunt for a color scheme. I've settled on the following after several plays on Bolter and Chainswords Marine painter 3.0.

Here is a first attempt to duplicate the recipe on a Macrage Marine. The base isn't finished and he doesn't have a back pack but I think the scheme carries well to the figures.

The biggest issue was finding the color brown I needed in a spray. I settled on Tamiya Red/Brown. ...
