So i'm collecting some info for my upcoming Dark heresy game. I want to expand on the selection of weapons. I know there are tons of makes and models for every basic weapon in the game. The lasgun itself has tons. So can anyone of you recall and possibly list the attribute of a specific weapon? Bolters, lasguns, power weapons, chainswords, power armor! I'm very dumb when it comes to all the MKs and stuff with armor so feel free to post what you know ( I'm looking at all you "fluffers" ...

Now, I know that the Imperial Guard folks don't really have to have similar fighting styles to the Space Marine companies they support, but I'm trying to build my army nice and fluffy-like.

With that in mind, are there any particular IG regiments you all think would be best suited to work with the Salamanders. I can't decide if you'd want a regiment that compliments them in a yin/yang way, or one that has a fighting style similar to the Sallies.

Krieg seems pretty close to Sallies: ...

So... I'm putting together my Salamanders 2nd Company, and I'm having real trouble justifying the notion that the Salamanders would have assault troops with jetpacks. Because of the terrain/conditions of nocturne, they don't use speeders or bikes. It also notes in Index Asartes that they have the slower reflexes, so they make little use of assault troops. Yet, in their organization thing on Lexicanum, it says their 2nd Company would have 2 assault squads.

Now the big armies would know how to fight Space Marines like everything else because they would have fought them numerous times.
A couple questions mixing fluff and chapter organization:

If a company is 100 marines, then where do vehicle crews and dreadnoughts fit in with the breakdown of a chapter?

Does it push the marine count over 100?

How many tanks, bikes, dreadnoughts are alotted to a company then?

Just a few things I was wondering. I'd really like to hear your thoughts on the matter.

I know that they are similar to the Black Templars in that they don't have a Fortress Monestary, but a Fleet with a semi-Fortressy flagship, they themselves (except maybe the Chapter Master) have very little idea as to where they came from, they have an exceptionally high number of Librarians (including an elite squad of uber-librarians), and have been investigated by the =][= more than once. Could they have come from one of the lost primarchs?

Because how would their spores become infected? I mean no one would expect a Purii to come out of some fungus in the ground, and even more the 1st generation would be bigger bloated forms, so wouldn't they just go up the Ork hierarchy rather quickly?
