This one I wanted to go even more different in the claw/hand angles. I also pinned this one (I didn't pin the gloves on the last one). I rotated the left hand power glove by several degrees so his palm side is facing more downward, like he's slashing downward instead of across.

Here is a comparison of the two poses.

In case you are wondering, this is Genestealer "A" because I'm going to be lettering the bottom of the bases of all my Genestealers to keep track of them in game.

This is the first Genestealer I have attempted to paint from the new Space Hulk box. As you see it here, the Genestealer itself is not painted, only base coated. The metallic structure and base are the only thing that is worked on so far.

I'm not sure yet if I'm happy with it so far. I think this is going to ...

With my Empire sold off and the Black Legion on hold until next Spring, I've decided to move forward with a mono-god Daemon army ala Tzeentch.

Why Tzeentch? Well because this conversion was smart..

..and zero of my models will be on a cav base. I'm awful at painting WFB mounts. Plus the army includes a bit of everything in flyers, skirmishers, shooting and magic. Pretty darn flexible.

I plan on painting the Horrors first seeing as I'm nicking that conversion idea. However, I want ...

First up the new Kustom Force Field Big Mek. The new Mek also marks the expansion of my Waaagh! This old boy is definitely not a Snakebite and has been kind enough to bring along some friends and equipment to join the fight.

At the painting meetup last week... or whenever that was, I traded some extra slotta bases to bojesphb1 for some lightning claws.

I used some of them to make a Black Reach Terminator with Lightning Claws

The hardest part was getting the power cable to line up on the left arm. I had to use half of the power cable on the lightning claw, and half the power cable from the black reach shoulder, cut them up a bit and change the connection point on the shoulder pad to make them fit.

I'll ...

Hope you guys check it out...

I was able to pick up some spulk termies on ebay so here is a WIP.

The paint schema is a complete copy of the Sept WD article using Blood red mixed with Dark Flesh.

I drew a line down the middle to see the difference between layers. There is still a layer of extreme highlight to go on the figures right and 2 layers for the figures left.

The figure currently has 4 layers on its right and 3 on the left. (if you were standing as the figure)

I used a combination of multi layer dry brushing, washes and wet blending.

Base Coat of Gore Red (Vallejo)

1/1 mixture of Black and Red Citadel washes over the whole thing

Liberal dry brush of Gore red

1/1 mix of Gore Red and Blood Red (Vallejo) dry brushed

It's taking a long time to pick out all the detail on the figure, so you can make out some things I missed, but I've also noticed several areas where the detail is just badly molded. There is a skull on the knee that just looks like a big blob of crap. I painted the head and it looked so bad I tossed it in the Simple Green bucket. Many of the details were flat or flawed.
I got the Empire General kit yesterday, and I was able to do some work on it last night. Figured I would post and get comments. Please realize that I'm not done yet with the conversion. I have a bunch of Sigmar wording to remove, as well as a scythe to add to the little skeleton on the horses head. This conversion has consisted of removing the horses legs, adding the skeleton legs, cutting out the horse head from the barding head armor and adding a skeleton head chopped off and filed down to ...

First though standard Guitar wire is OUT, with the distance I am covering (less than 1/4") I need something a little more flexible. I am looking into the idea of Nylon Guitar wire. I was told that although it is still wound as the metal it is a little more pliable.

Have at you!!

Sorry, couldn't resist.... I posted in the Market about the Empire knights, and when I got an eBay auction for 14 tomb kings skeleton horses, I was hoping to try out my conversion for a Vampire Counts Black Knight. Well, I had forgotten that I had an OOP Chaos Knight sitting in my "To Paint" pile, and realized last night that it has the style of horse (albeit a different head, of course) that the Empire Knights have. So, I started my conversion

Now, this is ...

OK so I have always thought that a Bretonnian army is the most amazing thing to see on the battlefield...yeah they arent a power list but my god can it be stunning to look at. So I have always wanted to paint one...and thanks to a really good deal on some models I have started the endeavor. No assembly line painting here. I pick up one and dont touch another till i am done. Let me know what you think of my first four Knights of the Realm...

I like it a lot right now and don't want to change to much and bite of something i can't chew (start a detail that is to hard to sculpt). Do you guys like it how it is? I'd love to start painting this puppy but i don't want to start if it needs more. Also this model might be for sale depending on what people offer. I can paint it to your personal scheme so accepting all bids right now lol. Let me know ...

Hey guys so i'm entering this contest on another forum. The contest theme is a female mini. Only problem is all the armies i play have no females so i didn't really have a mini i liked. So i converted one haha. The other problem is there are painters like John Gemrich entering as well so i had to make the mini crazy since i can't beat them from a painting standpoint. Well here it is..........a goblin queen on her royal toilet errr....throan. haha. BRING IT JOHN!!!! let me know what you ...

So. I'm putting together a Salamanders Terminator Captain (you know, just in case I ever want to use one---I've got a ton of extra models....).

What do you guys think, fluff wise, would be appropriate for him to have in terms of weaponry? I'm giving serious consideration to dual Thunder Hammers... is this too ridiculous? Again, I'm focusing on the fluffworthiness of it all. It would give him 4 attacks (though at I1) but seems feasible, as captains can't take flamers or meltas (I'm not ...

A few months back I got to work on a Snakebite Ork army. Since the dust has started to settle from the initial conversion work, I thought I would share the beginnings of the painting. Here are some PIP shots of my Warboss on Cyboar. I'd also like to send out a big thanks to bojesphob1, if you look closely you'll see he's based off the Gorbad Orc you sold me a few months back. I'll try to post periodic updates here from time to time, but you can also follow my army blog over on Dakka Dakka, ...
