The 'monger has started his Imperial Guard... with this being his 1st unit of vets. We are using a combined effort to get them done.

I'm looking for any suggetions on doing human eyes, they have become my achilles heal. All my armies have solid color eyes (bugs, chaos, even my Eldar are a solid green). It's the pupil that gets me, I don't want the scared/stare look in their eyes.

Just out of sheer needing something different than Orks and Skeletons to paint, I bought some reapers from SciFi when I was there on Saturday.

This one I just rushed to finish as a practice piece. Hopefully the next one will be better. I decided on using the big base on this one because it allowed for the cool flooring idea I came up with at the last minute.

This is my Rune Priest in Terminator. I haven't based him as I haven't found a suitably Dramatic base yet.

Lukas and his Blood Claws.

Wolf Guard Battle Leader. His arms are magnetized so I can swap between weapon options.

Wolf Guard Terminators. Arms are all magnatized on these guys as well.

First up a more impressive shot of the 20 boy shoota mob (minus the new nob and rokkits at the moment). This shot tends to explain the slow progress of the armies build (that's a lot of banner poles to construct and pin into back plates).

Next up are the first five completed Cyboar Nob Bikers. The five here represent the painboy, ...

Here is the finished product. I'm happy with the figure but the green 'Nid blood didn't turn out as expected. It is 5 min epoxy with some pigment. It sprang back as I was stretching which has it curling vs. hanging down. I may try and fix it at a future date (but not likely.) The hazard stripes are a decal from Armorcast that has been painted over.

Anyhow, I know the pics arent' great (i'm going to need to have someone show me the way to photograph these things in a good manner). Thoughts?

I did the two bastions and Walls (still have 15 wall pieces and the guns to detail out) were sprayed w/ Krylon Camo Ultra Flat Green. Then drybrushed with Vallejo Camo Green followed with a dry brush of Vallejo Dead Flesh.

They were finished with weathering powders (rust and black), then detailed the doors, guns, and aquilas. Not bad for quick and dirty. Look forward to ...

I think you will see, despite being much maligned (GW showed resin masters then sold considerably less detailed vacformed terrain), the blastscapes do quite well with some easy techniques. For $20 Vac formed terrain they are really a steal. I just wish ...

SOB Canoness - First paintjob in over 8 years.

I'm not so happy with it, especially after looking at the hi res photos of it... shows SO many mistakes I can't see with the naked eye. But considering how long it's been since I painted, and the state of my eyes and such.... I think I did ok.

My next will be better. I'm doing a Seraphim Superior model next.

So my brother finished my Warboss on a Bike and I have to show him off. He is converted mostly out of the Black Reach box, with some other little goodies added in. The pics did not come out as nice as I wanted (I was to close), but good enough for now.

You guys Dig?

I haven't painted a model or miniature in YEARS.. the following were just pulled out of a case that I haven't opened in a long time.

These aren't the best I've done by a long shot, I sold nearly all my best painted work back in the late 90's.

I hope that soon I'll be working on some new stuff, and I hope my eyes and hands are still able to do as well as I used to.

I bought the tank on Saturday, and had it built and primed by the end of the day. I just finished painting it last night! The pics aren't that good, but I figured since not everyone will be there this weekend, I'd put it here:

Here are my two latest fleets.

Orc fleet. Originally started for demos but I think I'm going to build the force out. Fun models.

The sails have do it yourself decals on them. It was my first go at doing my own and I like how it turned out.

Dwarf Fleet:

Pretty down and dirty.

Sprayed them black

sprayed them silver

wash with Badab black

paint and drybrush the wood, wash with devlon mud.

Finally pick out a few spots in red.

Hope you like them.

Here is the Forgeworld Hector Rex and his retinue, though, for my purposes, he is High Inquisitor Fogue Martas.

His retinue consists of 2 Warriors (well, for the Apocalypse game... not enough points for them in a smaller game), 1 Heirophant (with the book on his back), one Acolyte (with the sword sheath), one Astropath (with the weird head) and a Familiar (which is represented by the two servoskulls) sorry the picture is so blurry!

I'll have him with me tomorrow

Ok this is my first post in this section, not sure that it would ever happen.

There are some rough spots on this tank because there was a ton of testing different ideas on it. Hopefully the next one isn't so textured with screw up's. The Saim-Hann symbol may go back on it next to the cockpit but not sure as of yet. I will also blend in that black where it used to be, but all in all this is the final say on this one.

He's really tough to get a good picture of b/c there is a lot going on with the mini. His finger being in front of his face hurts as well.
There is also a series of pics with more angle up if you'd like here.

Bane Blade - Big photo warning.

Tested out some more techniques on this model. Had a pretty major screw up w/ the washes and the airbrushing that I didn't allow enough dry time. So I went sloppy on some of it. Overall, I'm happy with the effort for the amount of time I spent painting and assembling (about 9 hours total). Easy to cut 2 hours off if I just went for a fresh from the factory look.
