Howdy

I guess I'll first say that even though I have some pretty big armies at the moment, I'm basically new to 40k. I started painting up some minis about 8 months ago, but still haven't played 40k itself yet (I had a WHFB army back in college that I actually played.... holy crap, which was almost 8 years ago!! Shocked

)

Anyhow, met a few guys at Nords that suggested I come and check the forum out, and decided to join Smile

Anyhow, I have approximately 3000 pts Tau (without options), about 4000 pts Ultramarines (with options), and just bought my first squad of Imperial Guard last night (actually thinking about getting a baneblade Twisted Evil

)

I'd say about half of these minis are painted, though only about half of that number are actually completed... maybe less. But, I enjoy the painting, and you'll probably see some posts of some of the stuff that I paint as I paint them Smile

Well, I was at Sci Fi last night to see if they had the Baneblade (rare, those are, apparently), and the fellow running the register said that there tend to be games on Saturdays, and after the holidays, I might try to make it out for a game or two Smile

True story at that.....right now there is no day set up.....thus the Make a Date forum! We basically set up a day and who ever can show....shows.

If you have yet to play, you might wanna play a vet in your first game. Matt, Mike, Ian or myself could get you up to speed in a couple of games. Just beware, Matt shows no mercy, even to newbs. Just ask CJ(sorry couldn't resist)

It might help, to stop by SFC sometime when were gaming and watch a game.

I'd say me, Mike or some of the older Caggers (CJ excluded) would be best to learn the rules from. Mike and Ian are still getting up to speed from older editions themselves.

Playing? Actually, I've never played 40k.... Like I said, I'd played Fantasy back in college a bit, but it's been a long time. And, I just got back into painting minis about 8 months ago, so I've not been painting all that long, either.... I've got a bunch of other pictures that I can post in an army list section or painting section if you would want to see them Smile
