New to town

Hi everyone,
I'm Carl and moved to Cincy last May. I haven't been playing 40k for some while and am looking forward to getting back into it. Currently Im painting up Angels of Absolution and also my Tau. Both of which can hit the 2500 mark pretty easy. Ive several other armies and have been collecting since 99 off and on.
So, where and when do people meet to play, paint or whatever?

Welcome to the boards Carl! Alot of game play comes to Northgate mall at Cincy Sci-fi on the Macy's wing. We also have some other stores around town and a few of us have boards.

Another faction plays regularly at the hobbytown on Fields Ertel in Loveland. Where are you located?

I am in Amelia but dont have a problem driving to at least check out a new group / location. I've been to hobbytown a few times and have seen Sci Fi citys myspace page and it looks like they are one of the few stores to really have their stuff together. Ill have to stop by next time i get an itch for a drive.

Are they playing 40K down at ACME on the south-side? Once upon a time at their old location it was the place for 40K and WFB. A big enough group that the games each had their own active night.

They are playing 40k on mondays and had 6 people playing and three working on armies when I went by this monday. seemed like a good group.

That's still a good group. They had more back in the day. If Phil is still around then the games should be tight. It was a group from ACME that actually got to run the last Gencon tourny before 4th ed came out. Had a secrect sneak peek at the 4th ed book... on the down-lo.

Anyhoo looks like we have 40K open on the north, west, southside. Throw in eastside if violet vortex is still open.
