So with some games in I'm looking at some subtle tweeks as I decide on which direction to go for our tourney. All help welcomed.

Steve, Ryanscav, Makari - you played me, thoughts as well?

Not much room to move now!

I think the list looks solid, as solid as "pure-ish" RW can look. I think you face the normal problems. I think extreme armies will hurt you (big bugs, gun lines and a force equally as in your face because your numbers won't hold up).

I think bike lists do well going second and relying on that last turn jump to win objective games. Not sure how your experiences have gone, but this has saved me on more than a few occasions. It looks like your list is really suited to do this.

Just got to worry about living during turn 1-5 Wink

Thats pretty much the suggestion I made a while ago, so its better.Smile Seriously its solid, and I agree with what Matt said. Although you did increase your body count from 32 to 43, so I think you can weather the storm of bullets better.

One other thing.. a bit overkill with 6 Meltaguns? Mix in 2 Flamers?

it felt to me like i was able to pick off every unit of bikes individually.. like first turn you moved up close.. and i was able to shoot everything possible at a unit of bikes until it died then move on as much as possible. With a mobile army, thats what i was able to accomplish. Not sure how much that changes things.. especially because your army is so mobile too...

so i guess thats just a tactic i can suggest with them. I can't really review the list as i have never even played as marines... but tactically thats what i suggest. simply use your mobility to shoot at a unit until its dead and eat an army a unit at a time from one flank (or 2 or 3 or more units depending on rolls etc. Wink

I think you will have an easy time of Mak's KoS list, your mobility will win the day. Actually Mak I have been meaning to talk about things in that list that could make it a lot better (IMO of course).

I would definitely put in two flamers too. They have helped me on a few occasions in a big way.

Place both in one unit or split them up? I was thinking of having each Bike squad go with one Melta and one Flamer together. More tactical imo.

This would free up another 15pts btw

I second the addition of flamers, but I'm not sure whether to mix and match or double up.

I guess you'd have to try and see. I can sort of see it both ways, needing to blow up a vehicle and your one melta misses versus being able to instant kill a crisis suit or flame some orks.

I'd double up if i was you, then combat squad the unit if you see a need to have their power in different parts of the board.
