PostSubject: New job   Fri Apr 18, 2008 8:54 am

I am switching jobs.... So, actually, ends up not being a new job... I'm actually going back to a previous employer who really wants me back (enough to give me a pretty nice raise) Smile Yea! I gave my two weeks to my current employer today, and I'll be starting on the 12th at the new (old) place! (the 12th because I'm taking a week off before going back)

Scary thing is, Matt, you're probably right.... Part of the raise is going to go to getting my driveway repaved, but some will go to Games Workshop... lol

I was actually trying to decide if I wanted to get a Malcador or a Macharius Mega Bolter tank from Forgeworld. I'm leaning towards the Macharius (I like the turret on it for some reason), and will probably get the Apocalypse Imperial Armor book along with it...

The Macharius is very cool.

I would buy one of the regular imperial armor books first though. They have really cool background material, whereas the imperial armor book (while cool) is really just a big collection of everything they produce for use with apocalypse.

Yeah, the look of the Macharius just strikes me for some reason. It'll be cool to be able to afford one and be able to afford doing some projects on my house!

Hmmm... I guess I'll look into the normal Imperial Armor book, then maybe get the Apoc book later...

Just check that they have the rules for whichever tank you buy in the book you purchase.

The books normally follow a narrative with an ungodly amount of fluff detailing the campaign from every angle.

come on now... forgeworld isn't that expensive.

Affordable as long as you don't work at mcDonalds or something.

Well, it's not that I can't afford it at the moment... it's just that I can't justify spending that much at this current job since I have so many house projects to do (my driveway is looking like a $10k job!). But, with this bump in pay, I'll be able to take out a short loan for the driveway AND buy some cool forgeworld stuff Smile

Quite right, the pounds sterling price isn't. It is the currancey conversion that will get us. Twisted Evil

Or avoid building savings. Capital Gains and Qualified Dividents, future cash or an extra calculation on the Schedual B? Wondering about that.

Ah yes, that is what I meant. Being responsible with the cash flow.

That's cool. To get in on the shipping deal we should see about getting a group order at some point.

I'm down with that, although I want to wait for the release of the Nurgle Sorcerer.

Eep. For a sec thought you meant the Vulture which is the VTOL version of the US Coba attack copter.

If you know which book I may the rules for it. Have most of the earlier Imperial Armors.

Naw, ryanscav, I meant that i will be able to take a loan out for my driveway AND buy some forgeworld stuff (without using a loan) lol Smile

If anybody is wanting to order some forgeworld stuff, that's cool. I will need to wait a few weeks before I can get anything, but it will definitely be sometime in the near future.
