 Space Wolves Army 1000 pts

This is my first post, so be gentle, i've been collecting for a couple years now, and own about 2000 pts of eldar and 2000 of space wolves...and i know this sounds sad, but i've only played in one game so far, but i wanted to try out my basic space wolves list and see what everyone thought. so let me know what you think.

HQ
185-venerable dreadnought w/ twin linked lascannon and missile launcher

Troops
119- 6x grey hunters (5 w/ bolters and 1 w/ plasma gun)
260-15x blood claws 1x flamer andwolf guard leader w/ power weapon, bolt pistol and melta bombs

Elites
106- wolf scouts w/ 1xmissile launcher, 2x plasma pistols, and 1x melta gun

Fast Attack
80- land speeder tornado (assault cannon and heavy bolter)

Heavy Support
250- Land Raider

Basically the Dreadnought and landraider las everything from afar while the bloodclaws charge ahead supported by fire from the grey hunters and the land speeder runs around lending fire where needed, turning its assault cannon on any elite units while the scouts deploy behind the enemy army and wreak havoc (hopefully) with their big guns. let me know how this sounds, tactics-wise also, thanks!

In general it's good to give your dreads extra armor and sometimes smoke launchers, although it's ok as is and good weapons loadout.

Is there any way you can make your land raider a crusader? Cause 15 blood claws slowly moving across the board will take way too many casualties. Storming forward in a highly armored tank that you can assault out of is preferable.

Can never go wrong with tornados

Do you OBEL with your scouts? Cause you have to it's that good. So lose the missile launcher and maybe grap a power weapon and or melta bombs.

Also, one of the benefits of space wolves (currently) is the ability to put a ton of powerfists/weapons in your squads and I'm not seeing many. See if you can free up some points for some fists in the blood claws at a bare minimum.

I agree with Jmarv. You should either upgrade to a crusader or drop your bloodclaws down to 10 men. I'm not a big fan of Plasma Pistol in the scout squad because of the 4+ armour save. If you drop those and the missile launcher you could add some power fist or weapons. All in all its a pretty solid list.

Okay, i can drop a blood claw to pay for the crusader upgrade, taking the squad from sixteen to fifteen so they will all fit in it...now do you think the upgrade to crusader would hurt my fire support or help it with that nice twin linked assault cannonand multi-melta? and what should i drop to pay for the power weapons and such?

to replace that take power fists and metla bomb, which will help a lot aganist most tanks, for the ones you cant get at with your tropps, thoses are the targets of your scouts
