Someone asked for the page number on this rule. It is page 26 in the hard back, 4th paragraph about half way down. Go by the index it would be under Removing Casualties.

Is the rule even really called Torrent of Fire? I can't remember, but I do know what it does.

Someone check if it's clarified in the INAT_FAQ too.

That's removing the models, not making the saves or dealing the wounds.

Still doesn't seem right to me. It would make hidden powerfists extremely vulnerable and close combat much more powerful.

RAW is what it is.

I see no FAQ to suggest otherwise.

I know, but it seems that GW made that rule specifically for shooting armies to have some chance of getting rid of something scary before it hit them.

yeah, even the name of it says torrent of FIRE.

Still, hard to argue with the RAW. Anyone want to volunteer to take this to a bigger pond?

it's called "torrent of blows". it's really effective with great assault units, for example khorne berzerkers.
