 Ard Boyz List Final update....

After Dan's game in which we drew....I switched up my list to this......and won against Marc's Tourny Tau Army....granted he did a few things that were not Marc and he had his youngest on wheels going crazy.....but he admitted....with 2 rounds to go and 2 monoliths still on the board....I would have been the clear winner.

Either way.....2 great games between Dan and Marc......

pretty good in my opinion, but i do think 2 monoliths is a little cheasy.

The cheese argument has been played to death.

Just think about it.... compare this list to an average marine list. In a marine list you can have special weapons in every squad, and pack up on hidden power fists... no one calls cheese.

Monoliths are one of the balancing factors for the Necron list. Besides all it takes is a lucky shot and bye bye monolith (plus bye bye lots of points).

So I wouldn't mistake a good unit choice for cheese.

Cheese is something that was invented by people who moaned about getting their army of poor choices, beaten by an opponents army of better choices.

After all that, this is a tournament list. No one goes to a tournament with the aim of losing.

CJ: Nice list man, I fear going up against it. A very fearsome list... I don't really think the Lord needs the Warscythe or Phase Shifter. Both are pretty useless on him IMO, I'd drop them and add a Veil of Darkness insead... for those opportune moments (remember just because he has it doesn't mean he HAS to use it, many people screw themselves with this item)

I do apologize for my lack of focus during our game.

I didn't even deploy all my models Laughing

It is indeed a hard list. I'll give you another go before your tourney. Only thing I'd play differently against it is NOT Deep Strike all my Crisis Suits Rolling Eyes Not a good time for me to experiment..

Still, in the end you kicked my arse - good game CJ!

I want a crack at it, I think I'd take it. (luckily the pie plate isn't AP 2 !!!)

Pity my landraiders would have to be put in the 'useless' category against this army/

Personally the Warscythe kinda scares me, since about my only hope would be to race over and knock out your lord with my lord and then maul enough troops with power weapons to make you phase out.

Matt...the Lord is for hand in hand combat only and to protect my
32/46 phase out from going bye bye. The Phase Shifter gives him that +4 invulnerable save.


As for the cheese factor......pwith all the losses I have had....I'd have enough cheese for a life time supply.......

No Marc....you don't get it.....I hid behind a big rock....you give me a big rock like that again....I'd do it again!!!!LOL

fastest 2 rounds in my life.......it was faster then having relations with my wife!!!!!(notice the g rating in the comment...lol)


AS for the list boys n girls....this is the list so get used to it......I'm just giving people a hard time......I look at it this way......if you want to comete in a tourny.....then you play these kind of lists......and if your scared of them? Then how do you know how could you actually are until you make one of your own or try to beat it? I don't play for fluff....I play to play the game..............

I think you have a good chance with this list.

Besides, it's a pretty fluffy list anyhow...
