| It is my belief that a game is made of four key points. Debate with me later.
1.)Experience/Strategy
2.)Army Composition
3.)Deployment
4.)Pure dumb luck
For you guys what percent of each do you think make for a good game? Feel free to add and get rid of the four key points.

| experience and strategy are two different things. experience being knowing the rules and knowing your strategy is working strategy can be put into place by anyone, regardless of experience. also, building an army is 3 different things that interact like rock, paper, scissors.. mobility > close combat > firepower > mobility.. etc. choosing a balance between the three, or loading up on one instead of any of the otheres, etc.. is a great way to compose your army list **btw the mobility, cc, and firepower idea was taken from this article http://www.40konline.com/community/index.php?topic=158552.0 on 40k online.com** | |

| I think point 1 is correct but needs to be point 1 AND 2
point 4 isn't right because I won a game I played last night where I rolled the worst I have in a long time (roll 6 ones and 2 twos out of ten in on roll....)

| tyler the other points beat that one out, any one point can be beaten by the other ones, and as for percent about 25% each, the each cna make a huge part of winning or loseing at times | |

| I think you guys are missing the point. Example of what I'm looking for:
1.) Experience/Strategy 25 %
2.) Army Composition 15%
3.) Deployment 12%
4.) Pure dumb luck 48%
Just an example, not what makes my game.

| For eldar...
1.)Experience/Strategy 65
2.)Army Composition 20
3.)Deployment 10
4.)Pure dumb luck 5
if the right unit is able to do the right task, you can beat anything. Thats why eldar are the most mobile, they need to be.
If anything is out of place, consider it gone.

| Ravenwing 1.)Experience/Strategy 10% ..it took me 3 games to figure out just get in H2H quickly 2.)Army Composition 10% ..since you have to take Samael and bikes its halfway selected 3.)Deployment 10% ..meh, find cover or Scout to cover 4.)Pure dumb luck 70% ..if I'm unluck enough to lose 1st turn roll then I lose | |

| That's exactly what I'm looking for. I've been hunting on other forums and there are a lot of arguments about what makes a game. Some people are ballsy enough to say that their list makes up 50% or more of their game.
F.Y.I. Reason I stacked experience and strategy together is b/c you need experience to develop your strategy and game plan in total, and work around mishaps that happen on the battlefield.

| Dark Angels dipping from all three ares 1.)Experience/Strategy 40% ..you need to know what works against what, and what your opponent is packing. 2.)Army Composition 20% ..gotta pack an army that can handle anything 3.)Deployment 20% ..need to make sure units can get where they need to be, and be able to support one another 4.)Pure dumb luck 20% ..opponents skewed one way or the other will mean its an uphill battle, and flat out forget fighting anything considered tourny cheese (remember the DA book is already a 5th ed book, and it was the first one at that ) | |
