I liked the original two monolith list. Nothing unfair about having two out there.

It's not like Necrons can max out on hidden power fists or special weapons in squads... So why not take two of those monsters to even the playing field a bit.

CJ I was more afraid when there was two monoliths in there... But this list is still pretty darn scary.

CJ, let us examine the benefit of gauss weapons. Your biggest killer will undoubtedly be the destroyers. Str 6 AP 4. So, in order to gain the benefit of the gauss, you will be needing to shoot at T9 creatures. That is ridiculous. With the warriors, it drops to T7, again extremely unlikely. The benefit against armor, with glancing on a 6 is slightly better, especially with the warriors. However the benefit of the second monolith is far greater than the additional warriors. Like Matt is always preaching, you need to have multiple threats. The two monoliths are twice as hard to neutralize and even more effective. You don't have to decide whether to move your unit of warriors out of assault danger or drop a death pie plate on their toughest unit. With two monoliths, you can do both. Keep your last list, ignore the chillins, kick butt at the tourny, have fun. JMarv out.

Well said John.

The analysis of the gauss shows the exact reason that a second monolith would be better.
