Not bad, I think the skin needs a tad more work, and the basing is a bit heavy handed on the grass. Definitely looking good though!

I can see you learnt a thing or two from JG

Fantastic Model. What an excellent addition to your army

HIGHS -
1. Excellent photos....very crisp.
2. Good use of the yellow/blue/red primaries for the details.
3. Great metals (3 recipes I think) and Leathers (2 recipes I see)
4. Solid execution of a color scheme. Very orky yet not overdone. THIS IS A SUPER JOB.

Recommendations but certainly not needed:
1. Skin could use one more layer - dramatic highlight thinned on knuckles, muscle tops and face (the face is very prominent on this figure and most orks)
2. Eyes need some love. Looks like just a dot of blood red which doesn't do the rest of the model justice. I'd do a small dot of orange/yellow mixed on top AND/Or a little controlled wash of Red Gore w/ a touch of black around the eyes.
3. Practice or Learn some black lining to help define volumes. Areas of that could be improved by this technique. (note: this can be done well after painting and sealing so no hurry. I'd be glad to help.)

a) around the tooth and upper to lower jaw. Helps further define the face.
b) leather straps.
c) around small items trinkets to pull from waistcoat or other areas.

Area of improvement:

Matt said it...the base. Now if this was a trooper you wouldn't hear boo about it . But this model is very well painted and nothing sets off a great model like proper basing. The blues on his toes would be Knock outs on some PVA/Sand or if you don't want to do one yourself or even purchase a great resin base.

If I'm going w/ Flock I tend to sprinkle just a bit of grey ballast on the PVA prior to dipping in the flock. Works wonders to break up the single color.

looks great. I would have thought you were much worse since you were getting john to paint so many for you tongue . looks amazing. very neat and well done. my only real suggestion was alraedy stated by john which is maybe mix some goblin green or whatever you highlight is with bleached bone around 50:50 and highlight very thin and abrubt areas. I'm pretty sure thats the final hightight gw uses but you might want to check that. overall very very good. keep it up.

Nice looking mini. I would definately hit up the skin again to make a ridiculously awesome mini.
