dude...not sure the extra hand weapon grants +1 attack when it's with a magical weapon. I thought it was "plain jane" weapons only.

Don't have to rules near me though...

you are correct, you cannot use another hand weapon with a magic weapon. I have carried them in case my magic weapon gets turned off and I have no where to spend a few extra points though .

Whats that like 850+ points in characters?

It just looks to slow for my tastes though with the new WD list there is not much else to do. Warhounds as screens maybe.

Cheap flyers/fast cav will have those Khorne boys running in circles.

I still say spam Chaos Chariots ftw

Used too drop more than that on my old Zombie Dragon riding Vampire Lord. Although that was necessary back then.

It is a risk but if pushed into a challenge it can work out. Chaos Lords are real monsters in melee.

Fenix has a manuver ellement. Both of his special choices are mounted. So they are it. Not the most manuverable but certainly better than an entire force on foot. Since there is a lack of shooting Fenix will just have to be a bit more careful with an enemies Fast Cav or Flyers (as Marc has already said but throwing in some clearification here) who might play march blocking games or feind flight by Fast Cav.

If they are currently Fast Cav then throwing in some strong support for Warhounds here. The hounds can lurk behind the knights to deter the enemy from trying to march block the knights, warmachine hunt, or hitting soft (fast) units.

Except against enemies with pleanty of warmachines or juiced str 7 models. My vampires with great weapons have destroyed so many chariots over the years. So brutal, so wonderful.

they're not and they are hard to find around here. I'll drop the mark on the warriors and add more marauder horsemen. Mabye I just make the warriors have shields

dogs of war is not allowed in any major anything hosted by GW due to the fact it is a edtion(if not more) old.

Army is just for casual gaming and it is my oppenents choice if he/she allows me to use them.

A friend asked GW over the phone about DoW, ( he owns the army). He was told they are gettig rid of them. This hasn't been verified in print yet though. As far as I am concerned, I will play them, or with them. I just count them with the other unofficial armies like Chaos Dwarves and Haflings.

Damn! What do you guys think of the new Chaos List in the latest WD? I just hope the new Codex has some awesomeness to it. If this is what we will see with the new codex plus a couple of new units, I am going to be sad. The awesome customization of Chaos is all but gone now.
