After reading some of the Tomb Kings back story I would have to say that they are by no means evil. I would not say they are good either just more of a they are here and will not let people trample on them.

The idea of raising people from the dead to fight for you is evil traditionally, but they keep to themselves. So morally, they are evil. In a war environment, they are neutral. Just my opinion of course.

well I think they are netural as well but if you read the time line Settra has called for the time of great exspanison as well meaing they could invade other conturies soon. But then you have a characters like Nagash and Arhkan who are undoubtedly evil, and I love how they both get powned by Settra when they first awakened.

Well the reason they came back to life was not of their own making. Because of the story line it was a Necromancer who cursed them.

Well lots of rulers try and expand their empires, so if that defines evil then nearly every race is or was at one time evil.

Ture but as I said I view them as netural. Another thing that supports that they are NOT evil is the fact that they pretty much hate the "bad" armies. Especially the orks, they absolutly hate orks.

Hatred for an evil does not make one not evil. And orks are for sure not evil not even a little.

The Tomb Kings are Lawful Evil. They have their own sense of laws and Rights. They utilize evil for their own ends.

IMO

I looked at them as Good who made a few bad choices and have boxed themselves into a corner. They are not inherently evil such as the Vampire Counts or Chaos Daemons. Given enough time they can fix their problems. They do not fight battles of conquest and as someone said pretty much stick to themselves. If more races acted like they did Warhammer would be a whole lot more peaceful place and boring too.

I feel like I'm with the Rulebook on this one. It says that there are hundreds, if not thousands of individual Tomb Kings all with their own agendas and whatnot. I don't think you can slap an alignment on them, mainly because there's so many various motives for each and every Tomb King.

That's why they're always "suspicious" allies in the book. The army is held together by the will of the King alone. So whatever his will is, his army will do. Just like real life history, there are "good" kings, "bad" kings, and "indifferent" kings.
