PS3 CoD4 game night

Oh lord no! sporadic... Wait for kids in bed and Wife and Sisters shows to go off, then I play CoD4 or The Show 08, until Madden and NCAA Football come out!
Start school Next week Tues. and Thurs. Nights so no go those nights.

I am always playing COD 4 and would be down to play, unfotunately I play it on 360. If god wanted humans to play FPS on PS3 he would have put our thumbs somewhere in our wrists to reach those sorry little nub sticks.

So hows that Xbox doin for ya? Any red ring of death? How much ya paying to play that CoD4 online? Yes FPS are better on 360, not enough to pay all that extra money... Did ya get the HD DVD player?

Sorry for ranting but its getting old that Xbox owners make the same one and only thing that the expensive door stop has over the PS3. . .

And don't even start on the games selection cause wii beats them both on that...

PS3 is still the best next Gen system for the money! IMHO.

Actually I don't have one of the first gens so red ring of death isnt a problem... plus its called a warranty. Not trying to start a system war, but I don't buy game consoles to be dvd players since it has been shown consistently that ALL gaming companies use the cheapest players possible. If you can't afford fifty dollars for a year of xbox live then its time to stop and think if you really should be spending your time playing video games and yes selection is better for Xbox. If you think Wii's is equal you are either a twelve year old girl trying to perfect your Mii (barf) or an old man in a nursing home in which the choice is between Wii Bowling or Matlock. Often Matlock is the better option. What does PS3 have? MGS4 and a racing game I never played anyway. Bleh. Next Please.

I own them both. I just recently picked up a PS3 for 2 reasons. They are not that much more than a cheap Blu-ray player and MGS4. I feel I got my moneys worth. I also own a Wii, enjoy it and am not an 8 year old girl nor am I in a nursing home yet. If you believe that is their market, then you have never tried to play Zelda or CoD3 on one. Some of the sports games are great as well. I would argue for Xbox as to having the most titles worth playing though. Which is why it was my first of the 3. Wii has the most backwards compatibility of the 3 with the PS3 coming in last.
Anyway, there is a lot of good and bad about all 3 systems. It all comes down to individual preference. I own all 3, but then again, I am pure gamer geek . I don't do online console, so I can't comment on that part. My online experience is on the PC. With the WAR beta testing, WoW because my wife likes it and LOTRO because I got a lifetime sub as a gift, I really don't have time to go online with consoles. Besides, I suck at it and know it. It isn't much fun for me to go online and get my **** handed to me with a smirk .

How does the Wii have backwards compatibility when I can't stick my NES cartidge in the player? Don't you have to buy the old games? I ask cause I don't know, not trying to be an ass.

Wow you like wasting money? Well not wasting but for me thats another game that I can get! I am an addict for GW stuff and the Madden ANd NCAA Football series, I can't afford to pay $50 for sporadic online play at best. Wife & Kids, Full time Job, School, Own Buisness, Hobbies, PS3... I have my priorities and I enjoy the freedom of when I do get to play or not to play to not have to pay for online capability.

I bought a 360 because i'm serious about fps games, so it's where i want to be. Xbox live is a far more robust online service than the playstation network, so i don't mind paying for it seeing as i am very into playing online with people for clan battles and so on.

I'll probably buy a PS3 for MGS4, but other than that the 360 suits me just fine Only one RRoD and it was repaired for free, each console has their problems... good thing M$ is made of money so I get mine fixed for free.

I see your point Mak, I know that all my favs from the older systems are avaiable for download and will play on the new system. This isn't true for Xbox 360 or PS3. Some games work sort of, other don't work at all. The PS3 is still new for me, (less than a week old) so I will reserve my judgement till I have had it longer. I only have 3 games preordered:
Fallout 3 and WAR for the PC
Saints Row 2 for the 360.

Backwards compatibility is not too much of an issue imo, if you really wanted to play old games (and have ever wanted to in the past) then you probably own the old system. It's just more fanboy ammunition.

Every system has serious holes in their backwards compatibility.

360: Not all games are backwards compatible

PS3: Not all versions of the console can play old games

Wii: You have to pay for games, and they take up space on your hard disk.
