| Yeah, to be honest guys. I think you are looking at a sub par game (when you consider wow) | |

| As big a let down as that news is on the bright side the cut is only at the launch. So the question goes which is better, delay the launch or add content later?
As a WFB fan it is one hell of a downer because the biggest reasons for playing the game is trying out the altered reality for a game we have only pushed plastic/metal and read about. Leaves me wondering how many players who don't have their favorite armies capital will just wait or even walk away.
Doens't really matter since I live on Eve now.

They HAD to get out before the WoW expansion. HAD to. So really, it is a good call by them.

| this makes me sad. How can they think WAR will compete if they cut so much. Will have to talk to my sources... | |

| cutting is better than being eclipsed by the WoW expansion... the mmo market is a funny one, not much room for more than one big mmo, so they need to grab people away from WoW.
Hence releasing early in an attempt to pull people over before they get sucked back into WoW again.

| heard a comment today that they did cut the content but wanted to use it as expansion material and that Matts point is correct, they were concerned about the WoW expansion in November | |

| The game is pretty solid on the RvR aspect. I don't think they intend to compete with WoW as much as carve out thier own nitch. Where WoW is rich in PvE content and somewhat weak on PvP, WAR will be the opposite. The things they are doing for RvR and guilds just makes WoW look silly. As for the lack of capitals, if you buy the game and see the 2 capitals they have, you will understand why they only have 2. Remember, you can conquer a capital. There is more content in the capitals than some of the zones in WoW. Don't get me wrong, as soon as I stop being lazy, I will cancel my pre-order, but only because I am not a PvPer. If I was, I would be hooked from what I have seen in beta. Losing the classes? Big mistake, but again it was either put them in unbalanced or delay them till after release so you can concentrate on making the 20 classes left in the game better balanced and a little more solid. Once again, it is a RvR game at its core and both sides in the war are even. Both sides lost the same things, just different races. | |

| I wouldn't call WoW weak in pvp content, especially compared to the other offerings (prior to WAR).
You are correct though, the RvR stuff is what sets WAR apart (other than that, its is a pretty typical MMO imo). If they can sway all of the WoW PvP players over then they will have a pretty good user base and enough money to stay afloat.

| If the PvP for WAR is that good then I do believe that it will pull a lot of WoW addicts over to be WAR addicts. | |

| I will buy the game regardless and give the benefit of the doubt I think. I have heard lots of pros and cons both ways and I have decided to just buy and make my own conclusions | |

| I talked to someone on the inside, and the cuts are not as bad as everyone is making them sound. DE, Orcs, HE, and Dwarves lost one class a piece. So they all get 4 while Chaos/Empire get the "expected" amount. The Capital cities are cut, but they plan to add them against ASAP. Basically it all boils down to EA forcing the trigger. Yay EA! Still going to get Beta and check it out. It's still going to be awesome! | |

| I heard yesterday that the cuts were made on classes that weren't really working anyway. | |
