Quick question/example/clarification Very Happy

Combat quad of 5 marines, 4 have bolters and one has a flamer. They take 4 bolter wounds and two plasma wounds. You can allocate the 4 bolter wounds to the 4 marines with a bolter and the two plasma wounds to the marine with the flamer...

Correct?

Correct, this is how it can work in 5th I believe.

So your flamer can die twice, and then you take the 4 other saves as a group together.

The new wound allocation system is one the only feature of 5th ed that I truly dislike. They removed this kind of "tactical casualty removal" from the Assault phase and then plonked it right back down in the Shooting phase.

True, although you could almost always do it in assault, and the situation really has to be right to do it in 5th in shooting.
