| Seems the games have come to a stand still since the WoHaG closing. You guys planning to start playing again soon?
Where have some of you other guys been playing?
Yatta Quest is very close to me. My house is another venue that is good (CJ/Chad should be able to vouch, just need some more terrain).
I know Marc and CJ have mentioned gaming at their house.
Where do we hold our 6kv6k game for the Apoc release?
Another thing now is comfort level, how comfortable is everyone playing at another players home (I know I'm fine but it's something worth considering).

| I know I enjoyed playing over at Marc's house, although I don't have a very good setup myself to reciprocate. I've never been to Yatta Quest but it doesn't seem very far from me either.
6000 vs. 6000 may take some doing though, anybody have any suggestions?
As a strange aside, I've always wanted to play a game outside. Like in the garden with real plants and rocks being the terrain. Perhaps someday I'll be able to landscape my backyard suitably for gaming. But most likely not, since everyone will still get dirt on their models.

| Yeah I did that a few times when i was new to the hobby. Really is a terrible idea unless your army is a throw away force. I crunched many a Dark Eldar under foot (Yup they were one of my first armies, *shudder*).
Really for a 6k vs 6k we only need a little extra space and an 8x6 board. Which I can do at my place. Don't know if you guys are weird with parents being around (as some of you are almost their age, haha).
Seems to work fine when Chad and CJ have played at mine.

| I'll know soon enough about my Mon, Wed & Fri schedule for hosting in the AM. Though my garage is only so big. I may have to move down to level 4 As far as evenings go, I can pretty much ONLY do Sundays for the school year. Late nights are a possibility now as we are not too concerned about any stores hours of operations. I thought CJ mentioned his wife was allowing him to take over a room or two for dedicated gaming? | |

| Yeah, mornings are hard for me due to classes.
Actually any time is going to be kind of difficult, except some weekends. I'll just have to sty in the loop.

| We need to decide on an official game night.
Like every other Sunday night or the 2nd Wednesday each week.

| I can do pretty much any time mon-wed-fri and perhaps tue-thur in the evening (8:30) or if anyone else is crazy enough to try 7am gaming before I have to drive up to Dayton for class. Weekends I'm hit or miss, sometimes I will be able to make it, other times not. It depends on my wife really, and whether she has made time to do something other than study.
However this is only valid through 2007. Beginning in January I'm back to work and I'll have to re-evaluate.

| I really dont have the time to reply to all the new posts atm, but just a FYI, Matt's parents are really the coolest parents I have ever met. I say this because my family used to live across the street (hence, how matt and I met) so I have spent a little time over there. After you meet them you will want them as your parents. The point I was making was playing at matts house is a good time. EDIT: is that a 700AM!! to play a game. I go to work at 700 and the only reason I am up at that time is because they pay me to. I REALLY hate morning ppl!! | |

| I can't really help it, my body gets on a schedule and really doesn't want to get off of it. I still get up by 7am on weekends. I must have a genetic defect regarding sleeping in. I can work my way to sleeping in late, but it takes a couple of weeks and my wife still gets up at 6am for med school during the week now. | |

| agreed. the AM is no fun!
Oh and btw Chad, I'm sure my parents really appreciate you saying that. They put a lot of effort into being easy to get along with.
Thanks!
PS: My Mum really likes you and CJ for some reason too, no idea why.

| But the am is when everything gets done. I can churn out three loads of laundry, wash the dishes, clean up the house and run some errands before noon. Once 4pm rolls around I'm useless if it doesn't involve TV, video games, minis or making and eating food. | |

| Speaking of minis, man to I hate the all metal ones, or at least most of them. I've been building some saurus lords for my lizardmen army, and those arms will not stay on. It's ridiculous. Two days and one of the joints still isn't dry (i.e. I knocked it off last night) Thank God they're moving to more and more plastic. | |

| I like the level of detail metal provides.
But let's not derail the topic. We are trying to work out times/locations to play.

| God splitting teams is a terrible idea.
Now that my brother is in Iraq I have mad space. The basement is practically mine again.

| Just so you guys know...
Monday is 40k nights at ACME. We usually have people start showing up around 7:00 PM and games kick off around 7:30.
I think I'm starting a map-based campaign next Monday using the tiles from the Mighty Empires boxes that GW recently released.
Just thought I would mention it.

| Nice.
I knew those tiles were useful for 40K.

| I think it's kinda of a trip for all of us, except maybe Marc. I went there to sign up cause I was in the neighborhood, and my impression was that it was nice enough, but very small. They had 4 boards there, and not much room for more. I'm not sure where they are going to put all of us next Saturday, especially if there's some card thingy going on as well. | |

| I'm sure they can fit in a few more boards if they shuffle everything around enough. | |

| I hope terrain is decent and balanced. Playing on a balanced board will make or break my army. | |
