Phil Kelly is working on this supplement that has been rumored since last year. ~There are no timelines on it, but earlier rumors placed it sometime in 2009.
Plastic Valkyrie This long rumored kit is still said to be a possibility, but not definite. Phil kelley said that GW has the technical know-how to produce the kit, and that there is simply a business case to be made for putting it into production. ~Earlier rumors had placed the Plastic Valkyrie alongside Plastic Stormtroopers as part of the upcoming IG release schedule.
Scenario Book With the dearth of mission vairey inthe 5th Edition book, this one seems like a no brainer. GW is considerering a scenario book with additional missions and possibly a campaign system. No production work has begun. ~This is a very old rumor that has reared it head again after many months of silence.
40k Movie Black Library in response to an audience question replied (paraphrasing): "Well, hypothetically, there could maybe be a direct to DVD release of some kind of CGI movie with Ultramarines next year. Maybe." The quality of said effort was described as being on the same level as the Dawn of War II cutscenes. Essentially the Black Library presenter made clear that something is in the works, while issueing no guarantees as to whether it would ever be finished, or released, much less an actual timeline. | |

| hmmm... I would like a 40K movie to DVD regardless, I just hope taht if the story blows they do a good job with the graphics. Orks will be the most likely adversaries, But I could see them doing the Nids, or Eldar too. Before you start ranting about how great any of the novels are think about the majority of the populace. Most people have not even heard of Warhammer, And those that play warhammer I'm willing to bet a good portion do not read the novels, like Myself (don't have time). Yes I know the stories are great I ahve read a total of 2 in my life. However they want the movie to appeal to the masses. If they are smart they will captivate teh audience with a good story line of the basic "we know who is good and who is Bad" (Orks, and Nids) When that does good they can start introducing more movies possibly prequels to cover the Horus Heresy. Yes Starshiptroopers and Aliens we have seen Gaurd and Nids, Lord of the Rings we have seen Orcs and Dwarfs and Elves, people can identify these creatures easier. It would be easier to sell people these ideas than possibly alienating the populace by have Satanic (chaos) beings in the first movie as teh main focus. Also because they have Black Reach as a box set, granted it would be a year out from release, the newly converted will have a cheaper way of getting into the game. I really want to see the scenario book asap!!! And of course anything for more campaign promises to go south is good too! (***shame on me***) :- ( my 2 cents | |

| I don't see this as them going for the masses Sean, a straight to DVD release seems like a good way (ie cheap) to target their core audience with something that they really want to see. So I'm hoping for a pretty true to our idea of the fluff story... no need to water it down for the masses seeing as it is obviously targeted at the core audience. | |

| I disagree I think that a straight to DVD release is a testing of the waters for the movies and if someone sees a Chaos Marine or Demon on the box taht would kill the chance of someone oblivous to rent except those that really like Rob Zombie Movies awesomeness!... Here is the thing though, if it is to target the core audience then great. have a great story, and that would be better. But that means they would have to do a DAMN good job in order for it to sell well enough for them to attempt it again. All I am saying is that the movie needs to be marketed to the masses with gems of coolness for the dedicated fans to pull off a good sale so that they want to make another movie. And there is nothing wrong with them having Token Marines take on Token Orks... Yes it would be great if they could do Armageddon and Have all the races mixed in with Yarrick and Ghaz being the main focus or the Horus Heresey, but I'd rather get 3-4 good movies out to cover the big expanse that is Warhammer 40,000, as opposed to getting one good story line and stop. And I for sure don't want a Dungeons and Dragons like Movie where it seemed to be too removed from the game and appeal too much to the masses. If they want to put something out in under or close to a year I don't see them being able to nail the graphics and great story in this time frame. One can hope though! Either way what ever they put out I'll be happy with I'm sure. as I am easy to please.
