The box set is probably different than the online rules. Specialty Games is like that.

Mordhiem and Necromunda for that matter are neat games. There is something really fun with building up a gang. Modeling advancing figures was a blast back when GW sold bitz blisters for weapons.

The game is fantastic and I think the only difference with the online rules is a bit of clarification and a lot more races available to play.

I wont be able to get involved in a campaign (and lets be honest this game HAS to be played in a campaign) but this game is excellent.

In fact i think Necromunda, GorkaMorka and Mordheim are the best games GW has made (well maybe Blood Bowl squeezes to the top Wink)

Either way, this is a really good game.

Not to meantion it helps when there are different people to play. While there are a bunch of senarios playing different people is a good thing.

One of the biggest stopping block to those games tends to be the terrain but Carl has that covered. I've held on tight to my Necromunda terrain for the occassional campaign every decade or so.

Maybe one of these Saturdays we could get several games in. The non CAG Nick has some Dwarves so that is potentially four of us.

Sounds good bob. I'm trying to get something worked out with work since i'm not going to school this semester so i can try to have a day to kick back and game. So maybe saturday's will be the ticket considering that the teenagers are all down to weekend shifts. I have the two starter warbands skaven and not sure who to run the humans as but i'll figure that out later. Callabryn on here would probably take one warband and expand or i have several other friends i'm looking to initiate into the world so we'll just see what happens.

These side games are a good way to get a feel for GW products. In my early days I played more Necromunda than 40K.

The plan on my side is to figure out what Saturdays the non-CAG Nick has open. Hopefully they can be gotten off, the new Bob at work has yet to figure out how much time he really wants to put in and what days.

Wolfman if you have any paticular good Saturdays let me know. Otherwise I will try to make posts in "Make a Date" and see where things go from there.

LOL, yeah.

By my standards we will be fortunate to have at least 4 people. But if we mainly do a one day, three games, campaign, then save the rosters, and get back to it some other time.

I might just offer a word of warning. Some of the Races are really over the top compared to others...and be careful for the people that can play a lot of games. Nothing like the all hero shadow-warrior list. Bad news...for everyone! Cool

yeah, like all these more "hobby" oriented games, they should be just that. Hobby games, don't go into them and think about competition... you are all crafting a story of sorts.

Amen to that.

The last organized campaign at the now defunked World of Hobibes and Games had web-lists that were carefully checked before being allowed. Personally so long as we avoid that one chaos based carnival list sticking to just the book is fine by me. The rats can be tricky too, so I hear. They didn't bother me too much the last time.

Just a heads-up Wolfman. Right now my weekday off is Wens and no word yet on how many or when Saturdays can be gotten off. Will try and work on it more this week, answers generally slow and involve some workplace issues.
