Albino Skaven

These are my albino skaven. I have based them all white and I am working on getting the first layer of pink on the noses, hands, feet, tail and butt. Please keep in mind that all of these pictures were taken with the camera on my phone.

Surprisingly good pictures for a phone camera.

I think the albino is going to be tough. Shading that white/pink/pallid flesh is going to be tricky. Good luck with it all.

They look better (and cuter) in person.

I think I have a way around the white fur by using a very slight off white to shade the fur while not taking away from the white. The pink is a lot darker then it looks and highlighting it and shading it will be fairly easy.

The main idea for this armies paint scheme actually comes from the fluff. All albino or gray rats are blessed rats of the horned rat. I figured I could make a clan that has a the horned rats blessing and would be untouchable. I have been thinkin of some good ideas on how the army would play in with the fluff. It should be interesting and by untouchable I mean that none of the lords of decay are allowed to attack this clan because they gray seers have been given word directly from the horned rat himself.

Simply put it has been decreed by the horned rat to the gray seers that should anyone attempt to take out the Albino Clan that they will meet a great disaster. Instead of the usual garbal that the grey seers see it was made extremely clear. Skaven being what they are though will still try to attack. One of the former lords of decay died because of such an act. Before his clan even made its attack the lord of decay died from his head exploding from unknown causes.

I will work on cleaning this up, but I want it to be perfectly clear that the clan Albino is untouchable as they can not be attacked but can be beaten back by other clans to keep them in check.

I like the idea of some basic shading. Makari's idea of blood splatters is actually cool. It would look good against the white fur and maybe not require you to do a lot with it.

Essentially blood on the muzzles and splatter the fur. NICE (plus then you won't get any posts about how cute they are....lol).

Yes the albino rats are coming along great... except that the sheer number of them are taking over our office!
