Shame there had to be byes

Yeah, the byes were unfortunate, especially the first one. After the first round they bye went to the lowest score, which doesn't effect the tournament much, but you never like to have the overall winner with the first bye. Not to say he didn't deserve the win, it just would have been nice to have played three games to win. I'll try and give a breakdown as best I remember
Brian - Deathgaurd
Matt - Deathwing
Dan - Tyranids
Steve - Shooty Marines (basically smurfs)
John - 13th Company
Kyle - Matt's old Deathguard list
CJ - Necrons
Nathan - DIY marines, with lots of rhinos
Bruce - Blood Angels

So looking at the results and from my experience I liked the first and third scenarios better. While I am a little biased cause Matt smoked me in the second, if you look at it, everyone either massacred or got massacred in that round. That makes me think the objectives were unbalanced, since unless both sides completely wiped each other out it really became an all or nothing. It just seems like it was awfully hard to end up with a minor or major victory.

I'd agree. The second scenario swung in a big way to whoever killed more. While that wasn't bad in itself (the killing) the extra points were what made it worse. Me and John had quite the blood bath, but as I had more to play around with in turns 5 + 6 I could secure extra points (which gave me ALOT of points).

I definitely learned to pay more attention to objectives.

Here's to having more scoring units at 2500 points!

Note: You should NEVER be forced to keep your troops in reserve. Its just not right.

whats not right me is being so stupid I made a few to many mistakes the 2nd round and the 3rd.........wow that was just sad I made it to the 6th round(only had corbulo but hey i made it all rounds) but well ......ouch oh well 1st tournnament so no big deal better luck next round since i know what i need to fix

I just sucked....what happens when you make a last minute change to your list....your army hates you.
