| Was just in the store and they are going to have a weekly league at their store. Its 8 bucks to join and submit your race. 750 pt lists and very reasonable rules and format. I, in an effort to play and get better and support the game and LGS, will be participating... Anyone else interested? | |

| Would this be good for first-time players? Sounds fun, and it is close for me! | |

| Between the point size and being right after the Black Reach release, most of the players currently signed up for the League are either new players entirely or haven't played since 2nd edition so rules wise you'll be right in the boat with the rest of us | |

| This league is going to be fantastic for new players. There really isn't any better way or time to get into the game. 750 points is hardly anything at all. You can build a perfectly viable army that size for just $30. Just split a Black Reach set with someone. Smaller games are more manageable and new players have that going for them too. The Black Reach armies are about 550 (space marines) points and 500 (orks) points as they are modeled. If you want you can add a tank or another geared up meganob or captain and you are at the points ceiling for less than $50. If you are a skilled painter (read: John Gemrich) you can then turn around and sell that army for $150 when you are done with it. This really is a great time to start playing 40k. If you're a particularly adventurous noob you can go ahead and build something on your own. That will be more expensive and more difficult, but could be more...interesting. Remember that the game can be much easier to exploit at lower points values. This is going to be a blast. | |

| Oh, I've got plenty of army, just don't know what to do with them!
We started off buying a Maccrage set for my son last year, then I traded someone for the remnants of his Ork army, so I do those and my son does Marines. Weve got some cool stuff on Ebay to fill in the edges. We've been painting and 'brawling' with them at home. The league sounds great, and Yottas a real friendly place. | |

| If you're playing Orks and SM, I hope you've picked up at least ONE Black Reach set? | |
