Guys, I have been thinking about how to fix up my list that I used at the tournament, and I basically threw it out and redid it. I came up with this.

HQ:

Master, dual lightning claws, meltabombs, frags - 111

Epistolary, bolt pistol, frags, Familiar, meltabombs, Fury of the Ancients, Fear the Darkness - 156

Elites:

Dreadnought, Ven., smokes, extra a - 133

Dreadnought, Ven., smokes, extra a, heavy flamer - 143

Terminators*5, 2 ass cannons - 240

Troops:

Marines*8, vet serg w/ pf, meltagun, flamer - 170
Rhino, smokes, extra a - 58

Marines*8, vet serg w/ pw and meltabombs, 2 plasma guns - 170
Rhino, pintle storm, dozer, smokes, extra a - 78

Marines*8, vet serg w/ pw and meltabombs, flamer - 156
Rhino, smokes, extra a - 58

Heavy Support:

Predator Annihilator, las sides, hunter-killer, smokes, extra a - 168

Predator Destructor, heavy sides, smokes, extra a - 118

Total: 1750

Advantages: Heed the Wisdom of the Ancients, Cleanse and Purify
Traits: Wise and Stern
Drawbacks: Eye to Eye and We Stand Alone

Doings some test battles and I might be pulling the extra armour off of the Preds.

a few suggestions: i would drop the melta bombs off both hqs , the pintle mounted storm bolter and dozer off the one rhino, i dont think hunter killer missles are that good. the extra armour on the preds in nice but i honestly dont usually run extra armour your paying the points to for just in case the glancing 3 or pen 1. with the extra points i would change both power weapons for power fist, and change one of the troops to a command squad for both hqs if you play escalation then all you could start with is two hqs and 5 termies, this way everything can start in reserve and a teleport homer in the army somewhere is always nice

Taken into thought, but I must say my commander with the meltabombs hurt a Dread in cc. What special weapon should I put in the command, a meltagun? And more to the point, how should I run the command squad, because every time I run a five man 'bout 200 pts, they die all too quickly.

That sounds risky. You only get a single Meltabomb attack.

But then where would all of the delicious rending come from my Dreads (not likely). My commander did not do the charging, he was stuck in cc with some Death Company when he got charged himself.

forgot to mention this, if done accurately with plasticard these can look almost as good as the real thing.

Paper Drop Pods

for the command squad i like 8 guys double melta guns serg with p fist, a 170 pts, 228 with their rhino, i dont think the company champ is worth his points although the apothecary can be. plus if you have a master and libby then you wont need the extra power weapon attacks.

I agree with Ultramarine, I'd throw in the apothecary if the points are floating at the end.
