| Location: Sci Fi City, Northgate Mall DATE: 10/29/08 Wednesday. 7:30 pm Entrants need not be present to win. Entrants need to be dropped off prior to contest or brought to contest.
Time for another hobby related contest for our favorite pastime.
As I have been the recipient of $50 from TBL so I will be passing my fortune on to the crew hear at CAG.
So what's the Contest?
With the advent of objectives in 5E (and a little inspiration in WD) I thought it would be fun to hold a contest modeling and painting objectives for use in your games.
Rules: Objective must be modeled on a 40mm base Objective must be painted Multiple objectives per contestant are permitted. A brief story/description must be submitted with each objective.
Scoring:
Originality: How original is your objective. (20 pts) Story Telling : How well does your objective fit the description and fluff you provided. (40pts) Materials: Interesting presentation of materials and their use in your objective. (20 PTS) Paint job: Use of color, quality...etc. (20PTS)
Hope to see some really creative stuff.
Regards,
John

| I'll be damned.. I was dropping mine off Thursday when I was meeting those players for a game. Why I thought the contest was Thursday instead of today is beyond me *grumble* I'm such a putz.. oh well.. here is my blurb and a quick shit pic.. ----------------------------- Shee'Ka gracefully steered his craft through the remnants of the city. The colonies of the Gue'la are worthless. Each one is the same as the next. Our artisans would be ashamed of such waste he thought. Still, the expansion was going well and the Gue'la had not consumed the planets resources entirely. This fact alone has prompted the interest of the Tau'va. "Unidentified marks three clicks to our north Shee'Ka" Shaking off his thoughts he quickly pulled up his gunners display and straightened the Piranha towards the newfound prey for a visual. These could be lost souls from the Gue'la supply train which Tyr'las Pathfinder team dispatched three rotaas earlier. A fine catch indeed. As the skimmer pulled within eyeshot the display revealed several dozen additional marks. Those marks quickly changed colours to represent groupings instead of individuals’ representation. Larger icons started to fill the display and Shee'ka knew this was no Gue'la formation....O'res'la. Quickly the gunner punched the newly gathered information for relay back to base. Shee'ka desperately veered his craft in an attempt to find cover amongst some ruins. Too late. Many O'res'la Kauyon in forward positions had spied the vulnerable craft and let loose their payload. As several crude missiles corkscrewed through the air towards the Piranha, Shee'ka did his best to avoid the munitions. A pair struck the craft splitting the hull and sending the vehicle spiraling to the ground. Crawling from the wreckage, Shee'ka could spy his gunners’ demise. Quickly he activated the crafts locator beacon and grabbed both cockpit assigned Pulse Pistols. How dare these primitive beasts defy the Tau'va thought Shee'ka as he made his way through the ruins. Soon they will bear witness to the might of his Hunter Cadre. Soon the Tau’va will claim them. | |

| I've awarded a tie for you and Marc. Both entrants looked great and creative w/ the story.
You should post a copy of your fluff and a picture if you can Danny.
Thanks for participating.
