| Hi everyone...locally....,
On another Gaming Forum folks were joking around about whether or not I would wear my Klingon outfit to my polling place to cast my vote.
I just got a call back from the Hamilton County Board of Elections. There is NO rule against it . As long as there is no indication of which way I am voting - then its fine with them.
This means I definitely gotta lose the weight between now and Halloween - both to work at the Mall in Garb and maybe to cast my vote on the following Tuesday.

Would you donate to a charity IF I did that? I prefer to put the outfit & headpiece on if I know a chariity is going to benefit. - Ed C. | |

| Got a tough choice here.....
FUR COLOR.
Klingon sleeves on the outfit are usually some kind of. The traditional on-the-show standard boring Klingon wears black furry sleeves. The DuraS family wore red sleeves when we first saw them, then they changed that because Nicholas Meyer said he was featuring the color red with Klingon in STAR VI :THE UNDISCOVERED COUNTRY. After that, we usually saw the DuraS sisters wearing Green furry sleeves. (look at first season of DEEP SPACE NINE - real noticeable in one shot) In KLINGON and Star Trek fandom I'm known for wearing the blue furry sleeves and gauntlets with my outfit.
However, not sure if I should do that on election. Because of the media's hijacking of the colors Red and Blue to 'mean' something - my usual might be mis-interpreted as endorsing one party or the other. The Board of Elections specifically told me that my outfit should not appear to endorse one side over another.
I've also worn WHITE furry sleeves with my Klingon Santa outfit. That means I've got red gauntlets as well.
Here are my three options:
1) Black furry sleeves like a standfard Klingon in the shows & movies.
2) White furry sleeves with 1 blue gauntlet and 1 red gauntlet. That way I am a Red, White, and Blue Klingon. (10 years ago, because of an accidental thrown together outfit - I got nicknamed the "patriotic Klingon" at a convention)
- OR -
3) Wear my usual Blue Furry sleeves shirt and not worry about it.
Whats everyone's advice on this minor fashion issue?

| No, go with the traditional black. You'll get a better connection with the original series folks at the polls.
Also, this is awesome. | |

| A Minor Victory!
I had a 'minor victory' in my dieting efforts today - I tried on my Klingon tunic and actually could fasten it together.
YaHoo!!!!
Qapla'!! even.
Minor technicality : I was wearing jeans and a tanktop t-shirt at the time. It was snug, but fastened. Usually I wear a furry shirt and regular belt underneath it. I need to lose maybe an inch more by Halloween or Election day.
I still intend to vote on Election day wearing my Klingon Garb - as long as everyone that has promised to donate to charity follows through with that as well.
