Just a quick note:

This Thursday November 13th at 7 pm is the monthly meeting for the Greater Cincinnati RPG Meetup Group at Yottaquest. This is a great opportunity to meet other role-players. If are running a game and need more players or you are a player looking for a game, stop in and join in the fun.

This Saturday November 15th at 11am is our Munchkin Tournament. Bring a copy of Munchkin (if you have one) and come on in and enjoy the fun. There is no cost for this tournament, and Steve Jackson Games has supplied prizes!

Attention Magic the Gathering players! Yottaquest is now selling $1 grab bags. We packed 1000 envelopes. For $1 you get 10 magic cards, and 1 in 5 packs will have something special. We packed Birds of Paradise, Dual Lands, Promo cards and many other prizes. The big prize is a From the Vault Dragons box set.

Yu-Gi-Oh! If you have not heard yet, we are selling the latest Yu-Gi-Oh! Product.

Comics: we are now accepting orders for the January 2009 releases. Stop in today and put your order in.

Thanksgiving: We will be closed.

Thank you for your time.

Hey Madman,

Gaming space was pretty tight last Friday. Is it first come to the tables for players? Or is there scheduled priority to certain systems in the back?

Does Matt ever allow spillover of the mini's games out front?

I'm afraid not
Friday night is "Primarily" Friday Night Magic
they have a typical turnout average of 50 players from 6-10pm

(so, you CAN negotiate additional space in the front room after...)

the Basement (SShhhh it's still a secret) is under construction and should be available in the Spring

Wargaming is still first come, first game... unfortunatly with only 3
mid-sized tables... it does get a little tight

I do know there is a FOURTH board to play on
but with FNM, that's a bit impracticle (again, after...?)

Honestly, I'D LOVE to see you guys come out on Sunday Too!

There is Much More Space and the SWM guys are becomming very intrigued by the Wargaming since we started trying out the 3-d terrain

Is there any possibility of a set wargaming day at Yottaquest?

According to Matt D (Son) Friday IS the day
but as John and I were discussing, the FOW/WHFB/40K is REALLY Booming

FIRST
I would suggest communicating with Matt (Owner) he is VERY friendly and open to making his shop better

SECOND
Understand there are OTHER days open,
in addition
Sunday is a great day as SWM and one RPG Group are the only "regular" users. A Wargaming group would have plenty of oppurtunity throughout the day to get games in

hey
small caviat to something I said regarding the Basment

After having stopped by the shop tonight to chitchat
the word is:
"it's renovation is is on hold"

Matt doesn't own his building, therefore due to some business related things and "Zoning" the basment cannot be used for "Participants"
soooooo
it's "Members only" (Family et al)

Now having said that
I did also learn that Matt is in the process of reconfiguring the Main room to allow more space and use of the Wargaming table covers and will be doing some additional work in the back Room to make it even more user friendly
cheers
