Get a starter and a blister of Drop troops and another blister of something fun. You will be set.
Games run from 150 to 300pts. 300 lets you take about everything you could ever want in a game.
150 to 250 pts forces you to make choices in your troop selections.

Remember, just b/c you are in retreat doesn't mean the game is over.
You also are not forced to run away.
You can spend orders to "suspend" the impetuous order on a figure by spending an order from the order pool. That way you can have your heavy hitters covering the retreat. Also, those that move with the impetuous order still have the option to take a shot with the remainder of the order. Essentially covering your trail. You also can spend a normal order to move back into position. So, in essence, you may not take any more ground but you don't have to give it up either.
This is very different from fleeing troops falling back in 40K.
Danny, remember that several of the Pan O figs are religious which supplies benefit too in the retreat situation.
