PostSubject: Spelling   Sat Dec 27, 2008 8:39 am

Okay so I was going through the forums just looking at new posts and reading up on old ones to make sure I understood everything that the new poster was saying. For everyone that might get offended by this post this probably applies to you. Do not take offense just accept the helpful suggestions to make everything easier.

The problem I kept running into is a few of the people on here have a slight problem with spelling. Let me restate that a few people have horrendous spelling problems. Every once in a while is not an issue and for those of you who are ten it is okay but I recommend reading and making sure you know how to spell the word before using it. For everyone else that is above the age of 15 please give me a break.

I get headaches trying to read your completely butchered version of words. While I know it is possible to read words as long as the first letter and the last letter of the word are in their correct spots, but seriously that's getting screwed up too. If you have a problem with spelling for the love of god use Microsoft Word or download and use Mozilla Firefox. Both of these will help you correct your spelling. I know this seems harsh but its ridiculous we are grown ups. If you have a high school diploma or a GED then sure as hell better know how to spell. At least acknowledge you suck at spelling and get help.

Thank you for taking the time to read this. For those of you who have taken the time to fully read this, below is a silly little joke just for you.

What do you get when you mix a brown chicken with a brown cow?

Brown Chicken, Brown Cow. (insert fake porno music.)

I try my best to spell correctly, But I will admit, I sucked cheese at the spelling be. I was the first to go. As far as education, I do believe in it. My children will go to college, but as for myself, I started working at age 11, and recieved to diplomas, one from Mason, and another from Scarlet Oaks (which was a party school). And use none of the bullshit they teached me to survive, and provide for 5 people Leagally. Yes, I said 5.

Yes, and I don't mind if you miss spell something every once in a while or miss type but some people don't even try to take the effort to find if the word they are spelling is correct.

I also miss-spell words every now and then. Worst still, I Mix words (there-They're) that slip right past spell checker. Understand that 12 hour days in Uncle sam's air force means I don't post till around 4 or 5 am. It's a personal failing and I do try to clean up everything on days off. When I don't have kids bouncing all over me. A college degree and I still mangle words like a starving lion. Words are my Kryptonite.

Man JT...you're a rough bastard. I'm an English teacher and it doesn't bother me that much. You should see some of the ridiculously spelled words I get at school.

It's like the Airing of Grievances from Festivus, but four days late.
