New Halo 3 "Heroic" Map Pack out today.

It's now available on the Xbox Live Marketplace. It costs 800 Points, around $10. It includes three maps, Rat's Nest a HUGE underground maze complete with several vehicals including a docked Pelican, Foundry a small indoor map much like the Pit and Standoff an outdoor map with several bunkers and strongholds, it's by far the biggest map in Halo 3.

These maps are not available in matchmaking, as Bungie is going to split thier players into two groups, those with downloadable content and those without. EDIT: Bungie just created a new matchmaking Playlist for the Maps, Heroic DLC.

yeah there is for the foundry map, it has map specific forge items. So that you can kind of customize you own map.

On their podcast they mentioned it being built for the MLG type players to make a "perfect" competitive map.

On their podcast they also mentioned that the maps WILL be in regular matchmaking and the specific playlist. Just if you dont have them then you wont be matched up against people on the new maps.

The giant soccer ball is actually from Halo 2. Didn't hear anything about it being in the map pack though.
