PostSubject: Warhound titan weapons   Tue Mar 31, 2009 10:56 am

After our game on Saturday, I came to realize why a few of you asked about why I included the Vulcan megabolter instead of a turbo laser for my Warhound. Basically, the bolter really didn't do all that much, and the fact that if I would have used a turbo laser instead, it would have been a bit more effective. So, what I thought about doing was making a modification for the vulcan arm that attaches overtop of it, so that I can chose between the bolter and a turbolaser. Anyone have any ideas how I should go about doing that? I'm hitting a modeling block and can't come up with any good ideas....

Most titan weapon swaps are at the point of attachment of the weapon under the shoulder. Can you remove the "arms" of the titan right now?

That would be the easiest way to do it, and model up some PVC pipes and some plasticard on a similar mount and swap the arms.

If your are fixed, I guess you'll have to come up with a sleeve system that slips over the megabolter and looks more like a turbo laser?

I agree that a sleeve that goes over the bolter would work best.

Yeah, it's attached. At the time I bought it, they don't give you options for other weapons for the Mars pattern, and decided it would be a lot easier to just fix the arm in place. Hmmmm.... new project Smile Of course, that will wait until I get my Stompa assembled and painted!
