| Hey i can't help it, it's a medical condition All stinky jokes aside I'd like to play this too, my concern is that if the group considered it no fun I don't want to invest in a $50 rulebook $25 in templates and a stompa and or titan to play a game the will never occur | |

| Well I enjoyed my game of Apoc and am now thinking of doing some custom terrain and other projects. So, there’s a few of us that you should be able to find a 3000 point game against. As far as templates and rule book yea it can help, but I dont think you would need them right off the bat. A stompa would be good just so that you can easily jump into one of the Apoc games going on and have a super heavy to play. Believe me that they are really fun to play. If you want to play a game before you invest let me know. I’m sure Makari will let you use one of his three stompas lol! | |

| So at the risk of sounding even dumber than I am, in Apoc can marines take a Baneblade or Titan or is that more of a guard thing?? | |

| My chaos marines can.. Your armies can not... Even if you play Imperial guard.. you get none of it.. hehehehe
I am assuming anyone really can.. since noone has called me on my chaos baneblade...

| There are essentially no force org rules in Apoc. So you can technically take a monolith, a tau manta, two warhounds and a baneblade with a company of marines.
HOWEVER, games like that tend to really blow. Apoc is best when it is a well crafted story, not just a swarm of everyone's models. I remember one time we had guard/marines versus orks/nids/necrons. Orks/Nids/Necrons felt weird, and they had a huge advantage because of better synergy.
I recommend the sides be limited to things that really make sense. Guard plus some marines versus chaos. Or Guard versus Orks etc.

| You just run them as an Allied unit, Keith. Since GW has decided not to grace us just yet with a Plastic T-Hawk (oh sweet jeebus...please please please!) there aren't any super heavies for the marines that are cheap yet, only the battle formations (though some of them are badass).
I mean, it makes sense the the Marines would bring along some IGs and their Supers to a battle of large proportion.

| oh, and i found where, in the main apoc rulebook, it says that chaos can take any of the options also.. Pretty much assume that the choice defected to the side of 'evil' etc etc.. So you can take a Chaos linebreaker squadron.. Or the Land Raider squadron... hehe | |
