Ok guys I have a question... We as games like nifty lil' tools and trick to make gaming easier. My question is what products would you guys like to see that really aren't available. This is not limited to 40k.. I mean in general. RPG? Wargaming? Etc..

interesting...
over the last 2 years there really HAS been a boom in "Trinket" like items and long sought after items games really dig that put the final touch on their cadre' of gameing supplies

Steel Squire templates and lamaniated maps
Scenario Tiles and map packs
More efficient GM screens
magnet and Erase boards for Activations
Critical Hit/Miss Decks
Gale Force Nine They continue to outdo them selves in terms of overall games touched on (Though I wish their prices were lower)

Bigger and better value on Starter kits and box sets from more and more companies

More variety and value on Metal adn Resin miniatures

My only wish (purley as a SWM/Clix Player):
Clear Acrylic Grids to lay over custom and older terrain maps

Nothing is more important then the mind! I run my games out of my head (rpg)...

But Dice and tape measures...notebook. That's all I need. Not including minis and books. When it comes to RPGs, I normally bring any books I am comfortable allowing players to use.

I would always use a chessex mat with the grid on it. That way I can easly give players an areas layout. Also, if you know for sure what they would encounter in those areas have miniature, counters or something to represent them as closely as possible. I would suggest a cheat sheet with the players basic stats on it; AC HP and things like that.

I'd like to see plastic totes with the ability to configure for terrain. I try and do a lot of nice terrain but it doesn't always travel well so it stays at home most of the time.

I have often wondered why gaming hasn't gone eBook. Given the prices they are charging for books, ebooks would not easier and only a bit more expensive to start with lots of advantages like when you have to look up a rules. Then you could bring your ebook with all the books you need stored in it and printouts of some of the tables and character sheets of course.

probably the same reason schools haven't gone "Tech" with their school books...
sombody else is getting rich- it's too big of an industry switch...

It's a great idea, I used to keep my QUick set rules for AT-43 and Hero clix on my PDA... surley with some of the new apps for the phones/PDA ther is some way to utilize some aspect of this idea..?
