OK< so my friend is proposing an interesting argument. Of course, it might no really be that interesting since we're both (relatively) new players, and don't understand some of the intricacies, but that's neither her or there.

He's taking a literal interpretation of the Instant Death rule, which only specifies models and weapons where the Strength is double the Toughness of a multiple wound model, and that certain weapons, like the Eldar diresword, can surpass Eternal Warrior (or, in my case, Ghazghkull's adamantium skull, whixh doesn't specifically give him Eternal Warrior, but gives him the same effect). So is that the case, or does an Eternal Warrior ignore that kind of effect?

anything with eternal warrior, or anything that gives him the same special rule, specifically states that the model is immune to instant death.. this means that anything double T and force weapons only do one wound to the model..

But psychic powers like 'Gifts or Chaos' which turns the model into a spawn can surpass it as it does not wound the model just mutates it...

If you follow the INAT rules and clarifications, Daemonhunter force weapons still "slay outright" and thus ignore Eternal Warrior (RAW).

OK, first, the newb in me would like to ask a couple questions:
1) What the heck is INAT?
2) What are force weapons?

Second of all, I still need a bit of clarification. The specific situation that brought this conversation up between me and my friend was a fight between Ghazghkull, who's immune to instant death, and (this might be wrong), an Eldar Dire Avenger exarch with a diresword, who's rule states that any model that takes unsaved wounds must roll a morale check. Any failed check means he is instantly killed, and is removed from the table. I'm assuming from what you guys are saying that Ghazghull is immune in this case. Is that correct?

1.) INAT faq is the faq that is used by adepticon and is generally used as the overall impartial judge as a rules clarification
2.) Force weapons are used bu librarians and other psychers and have the instant death rule.

Yes you are right in the specific instance Ghaz is immune to the instant death of the dire sword. As long as the dire swords rules say 'Instant Death'

OK, I would like to bring up one more situation while I'm thinking about it. A Big Mek's Shokk Attack Gun, on a Strength roll of two 6's, has a special effect that any models that are hit under the large blast of the weapon are removed from the game. There is no reference to Instant Death. Am I correct in thinking that this would bypass Eternal Warrior?
