 Secondary weapons for hammerhead

PostSubject: Secondary weapons for hammerhead   Sat May 23, 2009 9:00 pm

Ok so my buddy has a choice between a pair of burst cannons, a pair of gun drones or a pair of smart missile system. The obvious choice to me seems to me the SMS but is the any advantage to the gun drones? I mean its not like you can allocate attacks on them, so why does the codex say gun drones instead of a pair of pulse carbines?

I think the biggest problem with gun drones is the extra kill points created when vehicle is destroyed and they have to group together into a new unit.
SMS would be my choice.

10pts gets you 6 S5 AP5 shots while counting as 2 weapons

I use burst cannons later in the game when the mobile threats have been reduced so the Hammerheads can move forwards 6" a turn firing everything.

You mean if your mobile threats (hammerheads) haven't been reduced by then. Wink

I suppose, but if you lose three Hammerheads than you deserve to lose them.
That should never happen...
