More of what's allowed in the area

Quick background - I used to play 40k in 3rd, and now I'm getting back into it. I haven't played in this area though.

Is Imperial Armor allowed in the area? Particularly the updates? I'm thinking of adding a Sisters of Battle squad to my Space Marines force. According to their dex, rhinos run 50, but IA updated their cost to only 35 + free smoke.

Speaking of, are there going to be any issues with using SoB allies?

And how do tournaments affect these? Are SoB allies typically allowed around here, and is IA allowed?

Most people will not allow the Imperial Armour rules. The exception would be Apocalypse. If you play Apocalypse you can bring the starship Enterprise to the table. No one will care.

There is no reason you can't play with Sisters of Battle Allies. Those are part of an official codex, which is tournament legal.
