So, I do build/paint from time to time...

I don't just rag on you guys, occasionally I get a few models of my own painted.

Sorry about the focus, my tripod was a no show (ie. I lost it) and my auto focus is broken in my camera lense (100 dollar repair, damn SLR lenses).

Hope you can see them alright anyway.


-The Landspeeder from the first Ravenwing Attack Squadron (pics of the first few bikers will be up over the weekend, hopefully, need my tripod!)



-A bunker from my in progress Apocalypse board. This is the front view, the base is about 8"x9". You can also see the small surface I have for a bunker designation (probably going to be something like N-47 unless you guys have any ideas)


-The same bunker from the back side. Also notice my Necron (yes they are still being built, just very slowly, I'm almost up to 3000 points of them )


-The bunker next to his unpainted brother, showing the removable tops (sorry about the focus on this one guys).

how much of your DA do you have painted?

Not too much, it takes me along time to paint to the standard I want.

Right now I have

1 landspeeder, 3 bikers (still need a few finishing touches), 1 Deathwing Terminator and a Librarian.

My army was completely gray for the 'Ard Boyz.

One guy had a Tyranid army made up for 4 different Editions all either painted in different schemes or unpainted completely... He won actually

What do you guys think of this for a color scheme? Just roughing out the idea for an Inquisitorial force (about a 1000 points). The gun is mostly untouched.

i would go with a darker red like red gore or scab red

Just a quick photoshop study.

I originally planned to do a darker red, but wanted something to really contrast with my Dark Angels army. So the red will be brighter I think, perhaps not quite as blood red as it is above, but still pretty bright. Think along the lines of the personal guards the emperor has in Return of the Jedi.

It may end up being Cadians too, as 4 armoured fists squads with Krieg troops would be close to 400 dollars after the tanks.

I just hate the Cadians... So who knows.

If you make the gun contrast the red, I think it'll work.

Hmm, I'll probably make it black, with green wires.

Thinking I'll go the storm trooper route now anyway. Waaaaay cheaper

I did note in the post that it is going to be for an allied Inquisitional force. I see the list being pretty mobile, lots of chimeras and a leman russ, with a chimera carrying an inquisitorial unit around.

Make them my back bone (and objective grabbers) for larger Apocalypse games.

A pretty average build, not really taking too much special equipment from either, but I will be using the Demon Hunters codex.

the scheme fits the army then when I do mine it will not be fun since mine will be a mixed group useing special stuff(you might look at some of it they can be very worth it given a chance)

the landspeeder is awesome man good work and the schemem on the inquistor trooper is pretty sweet

Yeah, I know both books very well. Played against both armies frequently for a long time.

Most of the equipment, while cool, is useless in many situations. Although I may still look at adding some, not really going for anything competitive with this second list.
