So I played warmachine back in the days of "i have a starter box and PP cant keep a release date for new models to save their life" era. Got frustrated although I LOVED the game itself. I was a huge Menoth fan...thinking about getting back into it when i return...love the play of and look of the Protectorate faction...can anyone tell me what the concept of play style is behind the new faction...i have already got a look at some of the models and they are impressive.

Really you can make this faction play in a variety of ways.

They have very strong and unique jack options, solid units, and amazing solos. Their warcasters are all specialized, and play their role very well in that specialization.

Right now I am of the mind that they are a mix of Cygnar, Protectorate, and Legion. They have strong ranged options, very cool synergies, and they play fast.

I will have the Retribution book, as well as the suggested starter set at my next couple of demos if you'd like to come check them out. When I have date for the demos I will post them in Make a Date.

And there's always a Warmachine/Hordes game to be had at Yottaquest on Wednesday nights. We've been playing Mk II.

It also looks like there's going to be a league launching in January/February with 2-week rounds where you can schedule time/place with your assigned opponent. That sounds like it will work better with your schedule.

Brian I didn't see your reasons here until just now. I kept checking the Make a Date section for a reply. Sorry
