| So what is everyones ratio?
I finally just got mine up to a 2.0
It's 2.04 to be exact.
I messed up a ton early on even if I rarely go negative. But I've been averaging some nasty ratios now. Went 48-6 earlier today with the P90+Red dot. Also been averaging around 30-6 to 30-10 with the base snipe (M40 something something). That gun is just silly powerful.

| I have heard good things about the multiple player matches in that game. One buddy of mine is addicted to it.
More of a mission fan myself so I tend to stick to GRAW, Rainbow Six, and America's Army.

| I play on a friends machine so I dont have hard stats but I'd say I am MVP 1/3 the time with an average ratio of 3:2 I'd say... SAW w/ AOG SCOPE, stopping power and bullet pen is just evil. My second fav is uav jammer with a silenced AK so I can go stalking. I think my best ratio ever was 50 and 4 after some serious machine gun spawn raping in domination plus a right on carpet bomb and a killer heli on the nuke map but thats all bullshit since it really depends on who you're playing and the sheer fact that two or three good helicopters can seriously like triple your ratio. Using public servers to determine skills in a first person shooter is like going to Western Bowl to determine the World's Best Bowler. | |

| yea the servers can be garbage at peak times. I prefer to stick to some Game Battles matches, where host is equaled out due to both teams taking it in turns to host.
To be honest, most of the maps are bullshit when you take into account the 'richer get richer' effects of getting 5-7 kills in a row. Much happier playing GB as they roll without strikes and choppers.
AK w/ silencer is also one of my fave weapon loudouts, although i tend to go with the RPD over the saw.

| MP5/Silencer. 3 Frag, Juggernaut , Mart ..actually, any SMG as you can sprint quicker to grab the bomb My ratio is finally over 1:1 as I had a loooong learning curve I only have had maybe 5 "lost server" instances but way, way, waaaay too many games ended by the "host" You always know who it is as you just pegged them with a head shot I dem smilies eh | |

| that or you hit a spike of lag then they drop. MP5 is nasty though, i also agree with SMG's being good for objective. Extreme conditioning for the win! but marc, I am sad you noob it up enough to roll juggernaut | |

| Ugh, I chuckle when I kill juggernaut kids. Why take a trait you only plan to use when you are being shot? Much better to take stopping power and plan on being the one doing the shooting | |

| ..yeah, I do use it on G3, M14 and M4. Sleight of Hand with a shotgun. I never really heard any grief with it (unlike those using a GL ...man they give it to those guys!) Do they know I'm using Jugger? It allows me to get in close with the MP5 (range reduced with Silencer) and even take a frag glance. Shouldn't be too hard to adjust. I'll fiddle Also, you mentioned "GB" before. Whats that? | |

| GB=Game Battles. It's a network for clan play. It's a part of Major League Gaming, which is pretty big in the console tournament scene. People can see when you have jugger, if they shoot at you a little white cross appears to show they are shooting someone with jugger. With shotty I roll grip, stopping power and steady aim. Only about 15 more headshots until I get my golden shotty | |

In CoD 4 the single player is great. Buy by Mission I'm referring to "real-world" objective based scenarios. Just force on force with AI or live players generally doesn't do it for me. From what my buddy Scot says there are some nice unlockable scenarios that do make it tempting to try out more than just the story mode.

| you do unlock different game modes, but i doubt it would sway you based on what you said. I agree that the single player is great. Perhaps one of best example of how to move not just the genre forward, but the medium itself (gaming that is). Further into realms that other forms of media cannot enter. I'll stop myself before I get into specifics, I can always elaborate if anyone actually cares to hear my ravings | |

| 3 days 09 hours and 3rd time prestige.
Mine is 17. zero something.
I have a few buddies that are around the 30% marker, all the good shooters from my old rainbow 6 clan. One of them has an 8.7 win ratio and a 2.8 kill/death... disturbing.
Oh, and as to why this game moves the whole medium forward.
If you remember half life 2 (and most of 1) they never break the FPS perspective. Everything in the game is witnessed through the eyes of your character. Now this was the first game to really do it, but for all the praise you can heap on HL, it never will reach mass market (big numbers i mean, perhaps with its recent outing on consoles it will).
CoD 4 does this same thing but in a more dramatic way. The first scene when you are the president who is being executed is very very well done. It also delivers something that you cannot get from any other type of media, you cannot read a book and actually be in the characters shoes, you can't watch a movie and interact in ways that let you see things differently. This type of innovation could really help video games be taken more seriously as a powerful platform for delivering quality narrative. Perhaps 10 years from now we won't have to play 20 games before we play one of real quality (I doubt it, but i can hope).
