- This April the Blood Angels will be re-launched with an all-new Codex and range of plastic and metal miniatures. One of the oldest and noblest of all Space Marine Chapters, the Blood Angels have stood fast against the enemies of the Imperium since the Great Crusade and it was their Primarch Sanguinius, who laid down his life to aid the Emperor against Horus in the final hours of the Warmaster’s rebellion. The new Codex explores the background and history of these superhuman warriors like never before, and contains new artwork depicting some of their greatest battles and most powerful champions.
The Blood Angels have always been a powerful close combat army and have been made even deadlier thanks to a range of specialist wargear, the ability to field Assault Squads as Troops choices, and more Dreadnoughts than any other Space Marine Chapter, including a Death Company Dreadnought and the fabled Furioso Dreadnought. The Sons of Sanguinius will be deep striking onto a tabletop near you this April – now’s the time to practice painting red.

| Very cool... they're due for a codex, instead of a few downloaded pages off the GW site. | |

| Is anyone following the rumors on bolterandchainsword? They're saying some really crazy things over there. Flying transport (that holds jump infantry). Furious charge for everybody. Fast rhinos that count as open topped when they move more than 12". Possibility for units to rage and lose control like in 3rd edition. Eviscerators A monstrous creature
It's all pretty zany. | |

| This is a rumored psychic power in the new BA codex. Several sources have reported this now, so it's looking pretty likely.
"Living Darkness: shooting power, 6" range, 5" blast, stays in place until the start of the next Blood Angel turn. No line of sight can be traced through the marker except the targeting unit has Acute Senses USR"
Living Darkness + scout bikes + honor guard
I'm already excited. | |

I'm already excited. I have one problem with this... Last time I looked, there was no acute senses USR. I remember this from trying to explain to a new guy why his tau had a special rule that didnt exist.

| Man, that looks like it could be pretty legit to me. I can't wait to field an all assault squad army. Should be fun. | |

It hit warseer yesterday. They're still arguing about whether it's real or not. So tML, what do you think about that codex potential if that is, in fact, an accurate leak? I can't decide if the DC is worth their points. I do think it's going to be damned cool to do an all assault army.

| There are no pics of units yet, but as of one hour ago there was a blurry but readable cellphone shot of the entry for the Storm Raven Gunship doing the rounds on the usual websites. It is real. It carries 12 marines AND a dreadnought (at the same time). It is 12 all around, fast, skimmer and has guns roughly equivalent to a valkyrie. It has the point value of a land raider. Vanguard/Sternguard are in. Most of the fans are crying about this, but I couldn't be happier. Vanguard are wicked sick and I wanted them in this book. Go to: http://www.warseer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=248074for the full run down. | |

| It would be a dumb move not too. However, I would not expect the lander to be available, as they are not going to go back and update the older codexs. | |

| But, even though they would probably limit it for regular play, you could always make a data sheet for it and use it in Apocalypse rules! | |

| The Storm Raven fluff entry says that it is only used by Blood Angels and Grey Knights. No. Other chapters will not have it.
Personally, I doubt I will be using one. It is only okay at best for the point value.
Mephiston is crazy sickhouse broken. He's like a flying Abaddon but better. His stats and psychic powers beat anything out there. STR 10 I7 force weapon anyone? T6? 5 wounds! FIVE! He's going in a drop pod that comes down turn 1. That's for sure.
Dante and Lemartes are I6. Dante gets to pick an enemy HQ and give them a bunch of -1 to stats for the whole game (cries of cheese have already begun).
